My Latest in Beauty box this month was a little different, as for the first time, I chose my three items from the same brand.
Jurlique are an Australian brand with its origins firmly in the healing power of the natural world. The brand motto, to create natural skincare which is pure and made in the land not the lab, is the same now as it was when the brand first started out over 30 years ago. Relying on traditional methods of ancient alchemy, homeopathy and herbal medicine to produce a range of skincare products has certainly stood the test of time, as Jurlique is sold worldwide in over 20 countries.
Jurlique had been on my radar for a while, yet I hadn’t had chance to try any of their products. When I saw an extensive range of samples on Latest in Beauty, I knew this was my chance to finally try them out…
Jurlique – Activating Water Essence
I’ve never used an essence before and was really excited to try this out. With the promise of hydrating, conditioning and revitalising the skin, this activating essence boosts your skincare, as it aids the absorption of serums, moisturisers and oils which are layered over the top. The essence smells beautifully light and leaves skin with a subtle tackiness which actually made my face feel instantly refreshed and hydrated. Since using this, I’ve noticed a big difference in the performance of my skincare, as the effects are lasting longer than usual – even through the harsh weather and central heating. This has certainly exceeded my expectations and is a product I’ll definitely be repurchasing in the no-so-distant future.
Jurlique Activating Water Essence – £40.00 – 150ml
Jurlique – Purely Age-Defying Firming and Tightening Serum
I do love a good serum as they really are skin saviours, whatever your skin type. As i’m approaching my 30s, i’m starting to incorporate more age-defying products into my routine, not only for their anti-aging properties but also for their richer formula’s which work wonders on dry skin. This firming and tightening serum is really lightweight and a small amount goes a very long way. It feels silky smooth and nourishing on the skin and it absorbs nicely without leaving any residue or stickiness. I’ve only been using this for a short time , so am unable to comment on the firming aspect, however it has certainly left my skin feeling smooth and more hydrated after use, and the scent certainly keeps me going back for more!
Jurlique – Purely Age-Defying Firming and Tightening Serum – 30ml – £56.00
Jurlique – Advanced Day Cream
I’m always on the hunt for a good moisturiser, and the promise of glowing skin made me reach for Jurlique’s Advanced Day Cream. The anti-oxidant rich formula is light yet intensely moisturising on the skin and absorbs almost instantly. Despite my dry skin and the harsh winter elements, it kept my face feeling moisturised for a good part of the day and my skin looks and feels healthier and more radiant – in less than a month! Personally for me, the scent lets it down as it is quite heavy and fragrant yet this is a small price to pay for the results.
Jurlique – Advanced Day Cream – 50ml -£48.00
I have to say that my picks this month certainly made me very happy as the quality and performance exceeded my initial expectations. These products may be at the higher end of natural skincare yet one this occasion, I would say that you get what you pay for. I will certainly be investing in the Activating Water Essence as my skin absolutely loved it, and it’s a great way to supercharge your existing skincare. It just shows the benefits of using a beauty subscription service that allows you to chose your own products – as without it I wouldn’t have tried this amazing brand and due to the price of the products, it is a great way to try before you buy!
Have you tried Jurlique products?
Take care,
Emma @ Beauty Folio x
*This post was originally tagged as Cruelty Free, however having discovered that the brand sell in China, this has now been removed. It has also changed my plans to repurchase the items mentioned above.
I have to admit I’ve never tried Jurlique, but these all sound really nice. And I love that Latest in Beauty is bringing in more natural brands again!

They are lovely products, obviously quite pricey, yet they certainly deliver! I must admit, they were lacking a while ago but I love how a lot of the products are clean (but not always listed in the natural category!) xx
