October’s Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box was full of beauty delights, from bath and shower products to face and hair goodies, it really was a great box filled with new brand discoveries…
The Unwind theme was certainly welcomed, especially for this time of year as we begin to plan for the festive season. It arrived beautifully packaged in a small white box with a magnetic closure which has already come in handy for re-purposed storage.
Butter Bar Soapery: Soothe Bath Salts
Ever since I discovered Butter Bar Soapery back in August’s Skin Organics Beauty Box, they have become one of my favourite brands – so much so that they even featured in my Christmas Gift Guide this year. These Soothe Bath Salts really were the ultimate bath time treat, infused with Rosehip seed oil, coconut milk, pink clay, salts and lavender flowers, they made my skin feel incredibly soft after use. Furthermore, the delicate floral fragrance of lavender and rose geranium really soothed the senses and makes for the perfect product to help you unwind after the stresses of daily life. They are already on my repurchase list, and I already have a few more goodies to try from their extensive product range (so keep your eyes peeled for more reviews coming soon!).
Vee Beauty LDN: Hair and Scalp Treatment Oil
Vee Beauty LDN have been on my wishlist for a while now so I was very happy to see them featured in October’s box. Their Hair and Scalp Treatment Oil contains a total of 12 potent hair boosting ingredients, including castor oil, jojoba oil and peppermint oil, to stimulate hair growth, nourish from root to tip, increase blood flow to the scalp and eliminate any dry patches. The oil itself is rich and has an intensely minty scent which keeps your hair and scalp smelling gorgeous until you wash it out. I have used this overnight over several weeks and my hair and scalp have never felt better! Gone are the days when i’d have dry, flaky skin around my hairline, irritation around my crown and patches of eczema at the nape of my neck. My hair is also softer and more manageable since I began using Vee Beauty LDN’s Hair and Scalp Treatment so it will definitely be on my repurchase list! This experience has certainly got me excited to try more products from the brand and I can’t wait to explore their range of beauty goodies.
Ethically Organic: Anti-Aging Facial Oil
I absolutely love face oils, especially this time of year, so was thrilled to see this anti-aging oil in October’s box. Its anti-aging properties come from the omega rich formula, which is full of vitamins and free-radical fighting antioxidants, in order to target the most common signs of aging. Despite the oil being intensely nourishing, it is beautifully lightweight and absorbs into the skin with ease. The scent, which is lightly fragranced with frankincense essential oils, gives this oil a luxurious feel and makes it a pleasure to use (as well as adding to its anti-aging qualities). I’ve been using this everyday since it arrived and have been loving the results. My skin feels moisturised throughout the day and feels softer despite the harsh weather we’ve been having recently. The brand, who are endorsed by Peta, have certainly exceeded my expectations with this facial oil and I cannot wait to explore their product range in the not-do-distant future!
The Wild Mix: Blue Camo Cooling Mask
This was the first time i’d heard of The Wild Mix products before, but after trying their exclusively-sized mask for Skin Organics subscribers, it certainly won’t be the last! The powdered mask is created using soft Kaolin clay, coconut milk powder, blue camomile and lavender to cool, relax, moisturise and brighten even the most sensitive of skin. The scent is subtle yet extremely relaxing, making masking a truly pampering experience. My skin certainly felt soft and hydrated after use, and my lack lustre complexion was glowing and dewy in its appearance. Don’t be put off by the cooling aspect, as it was more calming than the cooler mask that I was expecting, and will certainly soothe any redness and irritation you may be experiencing. The Wild Mix products are certainly going on my wishlist, as I can’t wait to try more from the brand.
No Secrets: Number Four Sensual and Calming Shower Cream
No Secrets is another brand that was unknown to me until last month’s box arrived, but certainly another i’ll be following closely from now on. Made from Cocoa and shea butters, as well as geranium, ylang ylang, neroli, patchouli and lavender essential oils, this shower cream has an unwinding aroma and nourishing formula which is 100% plant derived and from naturally occurring sources. Number Four Sensual and Calming Shower Cream is just that, as the gorgeous fragrance adds a touch of luxury to your shower time. My skin felt clean, fresh and moisturised while any irritation on my skin was soothed and dry patches eradicated. This may have been my first experience with the brand yet I can safely say that it wont be my last.
October’s box featured some amazing products that encapsulated the unwind theme. Despite many of the brands being unknown to me until October’s Skin Organics box arrived, I have discovered some lovely products that will certainly be repurchased. Last month’s box was the epitome of what a beauty box should be, as it was a great opportunity to unearth new brands for a fraction of the price!
Don’t forget to check out my Christmas Gift Guide which features the lovely Skin Organics subscription box.
