When Inner Senses announced they were launching a limited edition range of products especially for Valentine’s Day, I knew there was one product I really needed in my beauty routine.
Inner Senses Cocoa, Cupuacu and Pink Clay Cleansing Balm sounded like the product I needed in my life, with the promise of a deep cleanse to rid the skin of daily grime wth an intense chocolate scent which is good enough to eat.
Cocoa and Cupuacu butters intensely moisturise the skin while repairing, reducing inflammation and protecting the skin while cocoa powder is naturally high in antioxidents to fight free radicals, boost circulation and gently exfoliate the skin for a healthier looking complxion. The addition of French Pink Clay reduces clogged pores while jojoba and safflower oils deeply cleanse and nourish the skin.
The texture is unlike any other balm cleanser i’ve used in the past, as it feels like a hybrid of a mousse and a balm thanks to the slightly aeriated consistency. It is rich on the hands yet melts onto the skin almost instantly leaving a lightweight coating on the skin which rinses off with ease. My skin felt incredibly nourished after use and very clean and fresh without any tightness at all.
Where this cleansing balm is different to many others is that it also doubles as a mask. This for me is where it truly benefits my dry skin type, as it is the perfect moisturising treat for skin that can be used several times a week. For the perfect hydrating mask, simply leave it on the skin for 10 – 20 minutes and rinse away with a warm muslin cloth. My skin was left feeling hydrated, soft and silky smooth to the touch. After the recent cold snap and dryness from the central heating, my skin was feeling out of sorts and in need of some TLC. Even though i’ve only used this once as a mask, and twice as a cleanser, I can already feel my skin responding to the skin loving ingredients and can’t wait to continue using it over the next few weeks.
I rarely stray from my balm cleansers with citrus fresh aromas or delicate lavender scents so this was a lovely change from my usual routine. It is a real treat for the skin and i’ll be sad to see this limited edition balm leave the Inner Senses family as I feel this will be my go-to cleansing balm for the foreseeable future (well, until it runs out!). As far as first impressions go, I couldn’t be more pleased with the performance and results I’ve experienced so far.
Cocoa, Cupuacu and Pink Clay Cleansing Balm: £24.00/60g (comes with a free organic muslin cloth).
There’s still time to purchase this delightful cleansing balm, as well as other Valentine’s themed goodies from the limited edition collection. But hurry, once they’ve gone, they’ve gone!
Don’t forget you can get 15% off your order with the code ‘EMMA15’ (excluding gift sets).
