With Mother’s Day fast approaching here in the UK (just one week to go!), I thought i’d share a few green beauty products that are sure to brighten the day of that special lady in your life. None of these products are limited edition, so not only would these make great Mother’s Day gifts, they would also be perfect for any special occasion or days when you feel like treating yourself…

If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know that i’m a huge fan of my Jade Facial Massage Roller as not only does it help eradiate puffiness and give you a glowing complexion but when used in conjunction with a facial serum or oil, it will also help your products absorb deeper into the skin and perform much better long term. If you’d like to find out more, you can read my full review of Myroo’s Jade Roller here or head over to their website linked below.

Maggie Anne: Nail Polish

20190323_172026.jpg

I rarely wear nail varnish on my finger nails but when I do, it is usually Maggie Anne. The 6-free formula, which is vegan friendly and cruelty free, gives the most beautiful finish and long wear of all the natural nail varnishes I’ve tried so far. From the application, intensity of colour and beautiful packaging, i’m never let down by the brand. My toes are always sandal ready with two coats of polish which usually takes around 2 weeks before it starts to chip or wear. The best news is that the free-from formula makes it completely safe to use through pregnancy, making it the perfect Mother’s Day gift for Mum’s-to-be. Not only this, but Maggie Anne’s gentle formula would also make the perfect gift for allergy sufferers or those going through medical treatment such as chemotherapy. This particular shade is Saoirse, a metallic polish which gives a lovely sparkle and light pink hue to nails. With an array of shades and finishes to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect colour for the lucky recipient.

Maggie Anne Nail Polish: £10.50
Imelda Burke: The Nature of Beauty: Organic Skincare, Botanical Beauty Rituals and Clean Cosmetics

20190323_171026.jpg

When I began moving towards a cleaner beauty routine, I found this book became my bible as it is full of useful information and helped me to understand exactly what was in my beauty products. Sometimes, the internet can be full of information that is contradictory or inaccurate. Therefore it is always nice to have a printed book to use as a reference guide, especially when it has been written by someone who has been recognised as a pioneer for organic and holistic therapies, and was one of the leading figures to research and promote the best that natural beauty has to offer. The book is easy to read, informative and is certainly a must-have for all natural beauty enthusiasts.

Apothaka: SOS Recovery Nail & Cuticle Oil

20190323_171902.jpg

I’ve been using Apothaka’s SOS Nail & Cuticle Oil for a while now and have to say that my nails have never looked better. They’ll be a full review coming later this week, but I have to say that since I started using SOS Recovery, my nails are longer and stronger, and my cuticles are beautifully nourished. The oil is so good, my Mum actually took possession of mine and cannot stop raving about the amazing results. The oil is sold individually, but this gorgeous set sold by Apothaka makes the perfect gift as it is beautifully presented and co-ordinated. This was actually a gift for my Mum’s Birthday last week and she was thrilled to say the least. I even popped the free sample of SOS Recovery Hand Cream that I chose at the Checkout in the gift box too, so her hands will be truly pampered over the coming weeks. Don’t forget to check back later this week to find out why I love Apothaka’s SOS Nail & Cuticle Oil so much, or head over to their website linked below.

Apothaka SOS Nail & Cuticle Oil: £19.50 – £25.00 (when sold as part of the gift set pictured above)
Soap Folk: The Soap Box

Soaps are becoming my favourite gift to give friends and family as not only are they zero-waste but natural soaps make skin feel beautifully clean and nourished after use. These handmade soaps from Soap Folk smell incredible and are so beautifully packaged that they really do make the ideal gift. I first came across the brand in October’s Natural Beauty Box collaboration with Rare Beauty and I’ve been a fan ever since. This set of 4 full-sized bars come in the Soap Box gift set, which is currently in the sale on Soap Folk’s website. They’ll be a full review of these glorious soaps coming soon but as they last such a long time, it’s taking me while to work through them all! Until then you can find out more over at Soapfolk.com.

Soap Folk Soap Box: £20.40 (or soaps retail at £5.95 each)

*Inner Senses: Tranquil Body Oil

20190323_172430-01.jpeg

Tranquil Body Oil by Inner Senses is one of my favourite body care products at the moment as the scent is so luxurious and truly gives a sense of relaxation. The formula is rich yet feels lightweight on the skin and the scent remains for several hours after use. It is perfect if you’re feeling stressed or tense, or just want an uplifting scent to clear your mind and restore inner peace. This body oil can be used as a moisturiser, bath oil or massage oil and is truly a treat for the skin and the senses. A review will be coming soon, however as far as first impressions go, this is one of my favourites. The best news is that you can also purchase Tranquil as part of the Modern Girl and Soothe Gift set over at Innersenses.co.uk. There’s an array of products and gift sets to choose from so you are sure to find the perfect gift this Mother’s day.

Inner Senses Tranquil Body Oil: £24.00 (Get 15% Off using the code ‘EMMA15′ – Excludes Gift Sets).

*Meadow Skincare: Starter Kit

20190323_150751.jpg

I discovered Meadow Skincare back in January’s Natural Beauty Box and was very impressed by the performance of both the Overnight Replenishing Oil and Gentle Nourishing Cleansing Balm. When the brand sent me samples of two of their other products, I couldn’t wait to try them out. The handmade, waterless, vegan-friendly products perform beautifully and give you a true spa-pamper session at home. The starter kit will give you all of these goodies (in different size variations to those pictured here) and a bamboo wash cloth in a giftbox – so it’s all ready to give to the lucky recipient. They’ll be a full review coming up at the end of the week for each of these products but this guide wouldn’t have been the same without these gorgeous minis that really do deliver great skin results.

Meadow Skincare Starter Kit: £25.00

Orchard View Naturals: Golden EDT

20190323_171331.jpg

Out of all the natural perfumes I’ve used over the past year, I have to say that none come close to the stunning EDT from OV Naturals. I first reviewed Golden EDT in a sample form last year and was blown away by the complex yet fun fragrance that evolves throughout the day. The full-sized bottle comes in cardboard packaging with this lovely ‘You Are Golden’ blank card. There’s also a gift-boxed option to make this 99.9% natural and vegan perfume look extra special for that lucky someone. For more information, check out my review here or head over to OV Naturals website linked below.

OV Naturals Golden EDT: £32.00

Alteya Organics: Illuminating Perfecting Serum – Rose Jasminium

20190323_171142.jpg

If there’s one thing that makes my skincare routine it’s a good quality serum and it doesn’t get much better than the Illuminating Perfecting Serum from Alteya Organics. I tried this last year and have repurchased several times due to the performance and scent that makes this truly heavenly to use. Where this particular serum differs from many others I’ve tried is that it helps repair damage caused by day-to-day living and helps to maintain a healthy glow to the skin – even during the Winter months when skin can look lack-lustre. You can read my previous review here, but I have to say that I suspect that no one would be disappointed after using this serum as it a true skincare delight for all skin types.

Alteya Organics Illuminating Perfecting Serum: £39.00

Skin Alchemists Apothecary: Sesenne Renewing Facial Elixir

20190323_171656.jpg

I received the Skin Alchemists’ Sesenne Renewing Facial Elixir in December’s Natural Beauty Box but it is not until recently when I finally had the chance to try it out. The luxurious blend contains 28 stunning skin loving ingredients to renew, nourish and rejuvenate the skin to leave behind a glowing complexion that feels silky smooth to the touch. The scent is intoxicating, with a indulgent rose, jasmine and myrrh to uplift the senses and relax the mind. My skin looked transformed even after first application and the way in which the elixir absorbs on contact on the skin makes it a delight to use, even under make-up. A full review will be coming to Beauty Folio very soon, so don’t forget to check back to find out more.

Skin Alchemists Sesenne Renewing Facial Elixir: £85.00 (Samples can be purchased for £7.50)
