Even though i’m loving saying goodbye to the Winter, the seasonal change has certainly challenged my skin. Thankfully, i’ve recently discovered a facial oil which is helping to overcome my problematic skin type.
Inner Senses’ Deep Blue C is especially formulated with sensitive, congested, irritated or oily skin in mind, containing an array of skin-loving ingredients to heal, balance, calm and maintain a healthy complexion. With a blend of beautiful, high quality oils such as prickly pear, pomegranate, blue chamomile and baobab, it is no surprise that it is an award winner in it’s own right, scooping the best facial oil in the 40+ category at this year’s Beauty Shortlist Awards.
Deep Blue C has a rich earthy scent, with a medicinal yet sweet aroma that is truly a treat for the senses as well as the skin. I find that breathing it in before application in the morning centres me ready for the day ahead and has a mind clearing property when used in my PM routine.
What I love most about the formulation is the beautifully lightweight texture that makes it a joy to use. Just a few drops spreads across the skin with ease, absorbing in an instant leaving behind no greasy or oily residue. It sits perfectly under make-up thanks to the lack of shine on the surface of the skin, yet maintains a highly moisturised feel all day long.
I have to say that I don’t usually get on with face oils that are suited to oily and congested skin types as well as irritated and sensitive skin, as my dry skin doesn’t reap the same benefits – but on this occasion I have been delighted with the results so far. My skin felt nourished after the first use and within a few applications, the redness around my nose and irritation across my cheeks and forehead were certainly less obvious and felt incredibly soothed. I even noticed that a hormonal breakout on my chin was less inflamed after just a few days, something which would normally take a lot longer to improve. After around a week of utilising Deep Blue C in my AM and PM routine, my skin looked and felt much happier and the breakout on my chin was almost non-existent by the end of the week. I have also been using Deep Blue C in conjunction with Inner Senses Quiet Earth face mask which has given my irritated skin an extra-special calming treat.
Using Deep Blue C for a short time has certainly left me wanting to try more, as first impressions have certainly wowed me. My skin felt the benefits of the stunning ingredients and I am impressed by the way that Deep Blue C is a facial oil to suit so many problem areas and age ranges. It is certainly an oil which is on my wish list, as the results speak for themselves. Inner Senses has once again created a beautiful face oil that truly delivers on its promises and is highly effective in its performance. If you have an oily or congested skin type, or are struggling with problematic and irritated areas, then Deep Blue C is certainly the oil for you.
