Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box: April 2019 (First Impressions)

April’s Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box had a lovely Inner Peace to celebrate stress awareness month, and I must say that the selection of calming products was certainly a welcome addition to my beauty routine.

As a brand ambassador for Inner Senses, it was nice to see a familiar brand in this month’s box alongside an array of new to me brands that were sure to upgrade my skincare regime for the better.

I’ve been trying all the products for a couple of days, and as far as first impressions go, I couldn’t be happier with this month’s box.

Sofia Latif: Eye Oil

I was very excited to see Sofia Latif’s Eye Oil in April’s box as not only had I seen amazing reviews on social media, but it was also my first time using an eye oil.  Sofia Latif’s Eye Oil is formulated with skin loving oils such as rosehip, grapeseed, marula, meadowfoam, pomegrante and camellia to hydrate, nourish and strengthen the under eye area. The addition of Roman Chamomile, Sweet Orange and wild Carrot seed essential oils help to detoxify, calm and soothe the eyes and prepare them for rest. The eye oil has a lightweight texture and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. Just a simple swipe under the eye lighted patted in with your finger allows the oil to absorb beautifully, leaving the under eye area feeling instantly nourished and cool thanks to the rollerball applicator. Using this in my PM routine means that my my skin is left feeling soft and moisturised in the morning. So far, I have to say that my experience of using Sofa Latif’s Eye Oil has been incredibly positive and I can’t wait to continue using it over the next few weeks.

Sofia Latif: Eye Oil – £20.00/10ml (with £1.00 from every Eye Oil going to charity).

Kutis: Grounded Body Butter

As a dry-skinned girl, i’m always on the look out for great body butters, and Kutis’s Grounded Body Butter sounded like the one for me. The Frankiscense, orange and patchouli butter has a luxurious aroma that is heady and uplifting yet perfectly balanced. The butter itself is gloriously light and airy, with a whipped texture like mousse that melts on the skin, leaving it feeling nourished and intensely moisturised. The shea butter formula means that despite the rich ingredients, the butter is fast absorbing and leaves a subtle sheen on the skin that isn’t greasy of heavy like other whipped butters i’ve used in the past. Kutis Grounded Body Butter has been a true delight to use and was certainly a treat for my dry skin. My experience so far has only been a positive one and I can’t wait to explore the brand further in the not-so-distant future.

Wildheart Organics: Therapy on the Go Tranquil Roll-on

I’ve really been enjoying pulse point therapy recently as I find it one of the most beneficial ways to relax and unwind. The Tranquil fragrance in Wildheart Organics Therapy on the Go Roll-On is incredibly uplifting and mood-enhancing thanks to the punchy neroli that is a true treat for the senses. The blend is created from 12 essential oils that are guaranteed to help bring balance, peace and tranquillity to your mind, body and soul, relieving any stress that may be weighing you down. The apricot, safflower and jojoba oil base is highly absorbent, so while the aroma lingers to help de-stress, there’s no oily residue remaining on the skin. This is the perfect product to have at hand, whether it be in your bag or on your desk – it’s great when you just need to take 10 mins out of your day to clear the mind.

Wildheart Organics: Therapy on the Go (Tranquil) – £8.95/10ml

Maison Meunier: Silk Face Lotion (Aloe Vera & Chamomile)

I was excited to try a Maison Meunier product as I’ve seen so many great reviews online thanks to the Beauty Shortlist Awards. I was initially a little weary of how this would work on my skin as I usually stay away from lotions as I don’t find them moisturising enough on my dry skin – but I was certainly wrong about this one. The lotion is relatively thick in texture, one which I can only describe as a hybrid of lotion and balm. Despite its richness, it certainly feels weightless on the skin and absorbs in an instant. The aloe and chamomile blend is soothing on the skin, confirming that its benefits are perfect for even the most delicate and sensitive skin. The face lotion certainly lives up to its name, as my skin felt as soft as silk and surprisingly, felt intensely nourished throughout the day. My skin has been loving the results so far and I can’t wait to see how it performs on a long term basis. From first impressions, I think this would make the perfect face cream in the summer as the lightweight texture and skin loving ingredients would be perfect during the warmer weather under SPF. The performance of the Silk Face Lotion has certainly left me wanting to try more from the brand so i’m excited to check out the rest of their range.

Inka Botanicals: Marmalade Mist

As a complete mist-a-holic, you can imagine my delight when I discovered Inka Botanicals Marmalade Mist in this month’s box. The steam-distilled orange blossom flower water is 100% natural and provides a good dose of vitamin c in every spritz. The hydrosol makes for the perfect toner, with a gorgeously rich honey-scent that captures the true, natural fragrance of orange blossom. The mist itself is refreshing and has a calming quality that was unexpected but certainly welcomed. My dry skin definitely reaped the skin loving benefits of the mist, especially when I incorporated it into my skincare routine as a powder face mask activator as it gave my skin the hydrating boost it needed. I’m incredibly excited by the brand as not only is Marmalade Mist an incredibly high quality product but it delivered great results in such a short space of time. They are definitely a brand to watch and I can’t wait to discover more stunning products very soon.

Inner Senses: Awakening Meditative Body Oil

20190426_203018.jpg

As a huge fan of all things oils (as well as the Inner Senses brand!), I was thrilled to see Awakening* in this month’s box. It is no surprise that Awakening is an award winner, scooping the Best Body Oil Award at the Beauty Shortlist Awards earlier this year thanks to it’s glorious scent and nourishing properties. I have only recently discovered Awakening, but it is already becoming one of my favourites due to it’s relaxing blend and moisturising formula that makes it a true delight to use. The aroma of frankincense, Rosewood and Rose Otto gives the oil a luxurious yet slightly sweet fragrance that is balancing and soothing on both the mind and body. The texture is lightweight and absorbs beautifully on the skin, making it great to use on the pulse points as well as on the body as a nourishing treat. For me, Awakening is much more than just a body oil, it is a true pampering experience that is a pure joy to use. I’ll be sure to post a full review when i’ve truly experienced the wonder that is Inner Senses Awakening Meditative Body Oil, but my first impressions are only positive.

Inner Senses: Awakening Meditative Body Oil – £3.50/10ml or £24.00/100ml (To get a free trial sized product of your choice with any full-size purchase, use the code EMMA at the checkout).

This month’s box was one of my favourites as the majority of the brands and products featured were new to me and really captured the true essence of the Inner Peace theme. Skin Organics have once again delighted me with my monthly subscription box and I couldn’t be more delighted with April’s edit.
