Buff Body Care: UP Sea Salt Body Scrub (Review)

Buff Bodycare always impress with their effective natural formulations that deliver great results every time. On receiving their Pamper Box in their signature UP blend back in August, I fell in love with the brand’s ethos and beautiful products – especially their Sea Salt Body Scrub which come to the rescue of my extremely dry skin.

The uplifting and refreshing aroma of lemon eucalyptus, spearmint, rosemary and cedarwood is perfect for morning showers to revitalise the senses but is also a nice addition to your bodycare routine in the evenings to help clear and lighten the mind after a hard day at work. The aroma is heady and intense from the jar yet when applied to the skin, the fresh yet warming lemon eucalyptus scent evolves into a herby and earthy treat, with a perfectly balanced fragrance that leaves skin smelling incredible after use.

The texture of Buff Body Scrubs are very different to others i’ve used in the past as the sea salt is en-robed in coconut oil to provide a highly nourishing formulation that moisturises as it exfoliates. The sea salt exfoliant isn’t finely milled so therefore doesn’t get lost in the silky smooth base so is still incredibly effective at removing dead skin cells, boosting circulation and giving skin an overall pampering experience.  To add to its versatility, the consistency of the scrub can also be changed to suit your personal preference yet still gives the same amazing results. If you prefer a firmer, more balm-like texture, simply place the scrub in the fridge for around 10 minutes before use. This is particularly useful if using in the shower as it will hold itself better for a more invigorating massage. If you prefer a more course scrub, as well as a luxurious experience, you can leave the scrub at room temperature in the warmer weather, or leave near a radiator for a few minutes during the winter, to achieve a sea salt scrub in a skin-loving elixir for the truly pampering experience. Alternatively, leave it at room temperature during the cooler weather and you’ll get a beautifully soft scrub that has a more whipped butter consistency that melts into the skin with ease, polishing off dead skin as you go. Each method leaves behind soft, smooth, glowing skin in its wake that looks and feels at its best.

I have to say that I absolutely loved this scrub during the Summer months when I first received my Pamper Box however, even as the cooler weather started setting it, it remained a lovely bodycare product to keep my skin in tip top condition. I’ve now finished using Buff’s UP Sea Salt Body Scrub and after utilising it on a long term basis within my beauty regime my skin certainly reaped the benefits. All flaky, dry skin was eradicated in an instant and thanks to the deeply nourishing formulation, the effects certainly lasted for several days. I got out of the shower or bath with skin that didn’t feel greasy, oily or tight at all. As it is so concentrated, I also didn’t use a lot of product with each use, making this incredibly good value for money (as well as helping to eradicate plastic from my skincare routine with plastic-free packaging that is fully reusable and recyclable).
