Kri Skincare: Brand Introduction and Awaken Eye Cream (First Impressions)

If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that I have always been a huge fan of Guiltless Skin, as their ethical, high quality and effective products have never failed to impress. I’ve followed the journey of Guiltless Skin from the beginning and they were the first brand that truly ignited my passion for natural skincare. After a few design changes, and a lot of new product launches, Guiltless Skin has now emerged from it’s cosy cocoon and blossomed into a beautiful new butterfly that is Kri Skincare.

Kri, pronouced Kree, means ‘to make, to do, to prepare’ which is essentially, the epitome of what a natural skincare brand should be. Kri Skincare have a true passion for ethical beauty and dedication to create innovative, high quality, vegan, cruelty-free products that will certainly make a difference in your beauty routine. Always striving for more, the brand have taken the concept and ethics of Guiltless Skin, as well as the amazing products, and given them a modern twist with striking packaging that is modern, clean and simplistic much like the products themselves. Their no-nonsense attitude to skincare remains exactly the same, and with a name that focuses upon creation, you can rest assure that the formulations will always be the best they can possibly be.

Awaken Eye Cream

Now i’m sure i’m not the only one who struggles when it comes to eye creams, as I often find the formulations themselves too heavy for the eye area and can guarantee that they will always run into my eyes before they have fully absorbed. Kri Skincare kindly gifted me a trial-size of their Awaken Eye Cream and after using it for a few weeks, first impressions have certainly been very positive…

Awaken Eye Cream uses plant-based ingredients to hydrate, nourish, plump and tighten the eye area while also targeting fine lines and puffiness to boast a fresher and revitalised appearance. Awaken contains key ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, cacay oil and paracress flower extract which gives the formula it’s lightweight and absorbent properties. Due to the lack of essential oils, it is perfect for even the most sensitive skin types and is completely fragrance free.

The texture is certainly a far cry from eye creams i’ve used in the past as it has a light, silky smooth consistency that immediately absorbs into the skin. The under eye area is left feeling incredibly soft with absolutely no sticky or greasy residue left behind. Due to the immediate absorbency, I haven’t experienced any eye-watering effects of using Awaken and if anything, actually forget I have eye cream on at all!

After use, the delicate skin around the eyes is so soft to the touch and the hydration levels are greatly improved throughout the day. When worn under concealer, Awaken leaves the skin deeply moisturised and smooth, eradicating cakey make-up for good. Over the past few weeks I have noticed that the dry skin around my eyes is less flaky and the slight crepey appearance is no more. I’m already reaping the benefits of this gorgeous eye cream, so much so that I have already ordered a full-size.  The concentrated formulation means that just one plump is plenty for both eyes making it incredible value for money. If you struggle finding the perfect eye cream that is effective and non-greasy then I cannot recommend Awaken enough.
