|Gifted| Sonestia Skincare’s English Aroma Body Oil collection has been a joy to use in recent months, formulated with locally sourced cold-pressed oils and essential oil blends that not only are great for the skin but also for the senses too…
As someone who suffers from dry skin, I use body oils within my skincare routine on a daily basis as they are a great way to nourish the skin and keep it in tip top condition. Sonestia Skincare’s English Aroma collection contains two body oils, ‘Revive’ and ‘Soothe & Relax’, which are a true celebration of English essential oils which are designed to impact both the mind and body. Both body oils are contain 100% natural ingredients, with 99% of them being of British origin, and are cruelty-free, vegan friendly and free from palm-oil.
Both body oils contain a blend of Poppy Seed and Camelina Seed cold-pressed oils and natural Vitamin E to nourish the skin, lock-in moisturise and provide essential fatty acids Omega 3 and 6 to maintain the skin’s healthy appearance. What makes the beautiful cold-pressed oil base highly effective in both ‘Revive’ and ‘Soothe & Relax’ is the lightweight texture and absorbent nature that leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and intensely moisturised without any greasy residue or heavy shine on the skin.
The full-sized bottles with a pipette provides easy application as you can dispense what you need so there is no product wastage. The smaller 10ml rollerball applicators are great for travelling or on-the-go application, yet where I find them most useful is as a pulse-point oil or perfume oil as the scent lingers on the skin for quite a while after use.
Soothe & Relax Body Oil
Soothe & Relax contains a beautiful, calming essential oil blend of Lavender and Chamomile that is punchy yet not overpowering.
The lavender aroma is the most predominant from the bottle and remains the lingering scent for the duration of use. Yet what I love about this particular blend is how the delicate Chamomile begins to shine through once the body oil is applied to the skin, bringing a comforting calming quality as it works in harmony with the lavender aroma. I love to incorporate this into my evening/bedtime routine whether it be after an evening bath or shower as a body oil or as a pulse-point oil on my wrists and neck before I go to sleep. It makes my skin feel nicely nourished and soft to the touch, while also bringing a beautifully relaxing experience to my body care routine.
Revive Body Oil
Revive may have the same nourishing yet beautifully absorbent base as its Soothe & Relax sibling yet it couldn’t be any different in its essential oil blend that promotes a truly uplifting experience.
The Body Oil contains Peppermint, Blue Chamomile, Rosemary and Lavender for a refreshing blend targeted to help focus tired minds, improve concentration and clear the mind for a brighter outlook. The refreshing scent is complex, with an initial hit of minty freshness that gets sweeter on the skin with undertones of the herby, floral scent of the rosemary and lavender. Each essential oil has it’s moment in the spotlight as you work it into the skin and they all sit beautifully together as the scent begins to wear off. I have to say that I found this one a great addition to my morning routine, as it is a great body oil to awaken the senses after your morning shower. I keep the Revive rollerball on my desk to maintain concentration and it has really helped to keep me alert, especially during the afternoon. What I love most about Revive is that it is so different to other body oils in my collection as I don’t feel brands utilise peppermint enough within their formulations. If you love a minty fresh aroma that evolves throughout use then Revive Body Oil is certainly the one for you.
Both Sonestia Skincare Body Oils from the English Aroma collection have certainly wowed with amazing performance on both the mind and body, keeping skin intensely moisturised and promoting a senses of wellbeing. The products are affordable, high quality and are a true celebration of British beauty. It is very difficult to select a favourite body oil, as they both deliver on their promises, however I do have a slight soft spot for Revive. It is the one I find myself reaching for more and more, as the formulation is very different to other body oils i’m currently using. Yet both oils have certainly performed well on a long term basis, keeping my skin feeling and looking in tip top condition over several months and making a great addition to my body care routine.
