|Gifted| If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know that I am a huge fan of cold-pressed soap bars as not only are they great eco-swaps within your skin cleansing routine but also have a great impact upon your skin too.

I’ve been a big Skin Alchemist fan for a while now but only discovered their beautiful Artisan soap bars very recently when they featured in The Natural Beauty Box back in August. The Charred Rose Soap Bar was an incredible addition to my bath time routine and their latest festive offerings are certainly very special indeed.

Skin Alchemists use the cold-pressed method for their artisan soap bars and have a range for all skin types from oily to sensitive, with vegan alternatives to those which utilise animal derived ingredients such a honey and goat’s milk. Despite the incredibly nourishing ingredients in each bar, such as olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter, the soap are incredibly hard and surprsingly long lasting.

The Eggnog and Dirty Chai Soap Bars recently featured in my Natural Skincare Christmas Gift Guide and really are a true celebration of the season. They both utilise some incredible ingredients to nourish and cleanse the skin yet it is the glorious aromas that really confirms that Christmas is around the corner…

Skin Alchemists: Dirty Chai Artisan Soap Bar

I am a huge fan of multipurpose products and Dirty Chai is certainly no exception with a texture that not only cleanses the skin but offers a gentle exfoliation too. The addition of coffee grounds gives the soap its slight scrubby texture without being too abrasive, leaving the skin soft and squeaky clean without feeling dry or over-exfoliated. What I love most about the use of coffee grounds in Dirty Chai is the fact that it doesn’t have a coffee scent at all, with the festive aroma of Star Anise, nutmeg, cardamom and ginger taking centre stage, warming the senses and filling the bathroom with a beautiful scent that is perfect for this time of year.

Dirty Chai is perfection for Winter skin, eliminating dry skin in an instant and leaving your hands and body soft, smooth and beautifully nourished. My skin looks less dull in its appearance and enabled my body care products to absorb easier after my daily cleansing routine. It warms the soul with its perfectly balanced aroma that makes it an absolute joy to use. What I love most is that it is long lasting and maintains it’s incredible fragrance and quality with each use, right until the very end of the bar.

Skin Alchemists: Dirty Chai – £10.00

Skin Alchemists: Eggnog Artisan Soap Bar

I originally thought that Dirty Chai was the scent of Christmas but after trying Eggnog, i’m not so sure! Eggnog is inspired by the drink of the same name – although doesn’t contain any eggs – and has the most beautiful festive aroma that is for me, the epitome of the season. Nutmeg and cinnamon are blended with the delicate citrus scent of lemongrass that make this soap spicy with a sweet freshness that really lifts your spirits and brightens your mood.

The bar has a gentle yet creamy lather that doesn’t dry the skin out in any way. The addition of turmeric and sea moss adds to the bar’s wealth of skin-loving benefits such as being naturally antibacterial, anti-viral and anti-microbial to help with acne and other skin conditions such as eczema and psoriosis.

I must say that I really enjoyed the creamy nature of this bar and the way it made the whole bathroom smell of Christmas – but with a citrus freshness that made me want the bar to go on and on. It made my skin feel incredible and had an amazing effect on my senses.

Skin Alchemists: Eggnog – £10.00

I have absolutely loved each seasonal bar from Skin Alchemists this year, with two beautifully festive bars that go beyond a cold-pressed soap and give a complete spa-like experience with a Christmas aroma that make each bar an incredible addition to your skin cleansing. These would make the perfect soap for your own skin cleansing rituals, as well as a great stocking filler for that someone special. As they come in a beautiful box, with festive aroma and stunningly unique designs in each bar, it will certainly be the gift that keeps on giving this Christmas.
