|Gifted| It is safe to say that Green People’s Nordic Roots range has been one of my favourite collections from the brand so far, with beautiful scent free products that are a true celebration of Scandi values including simplicity, purity and functionality. The whole range includes a micellar cleanser, serum, moisturiser and facial oil, formulated with sensitive skin in mind thanks to the Nordic actives that make them so special…
Having already reviewed the gorgeous Cranberry Miscellar Foam and Hyaluronic Booster Serum, it is now the brand’s Apple Complex Moisturiser in the spotlight, with a hydrating formulation to help protect and balance all skin types.
Nordic Roots Apple Complex Moisturiser, much like it’s other Nordic Roots siblings, has very simple, sleek package with the signature black and white labelling and coloured band. The moisturiser itself comes in a recyclable airless pump which not only makes application easy but also eradicates product wastage and prevents bacteria. Nordic Roots products also come housed in the innovative and ethical outer boxing, made from Storch, a grass-based packaging that is sustainable, compostable and biodegradable and uses less water and energy to produce than cardboard.
The Apple Complex Moisture really does contain some beautiful key ingredients that are all designed to work in harmony with the skin’s natural PH while also soothing any irritation, hydrating dehydrated skin, nourishing dry patches and promoting a healthy, natural glow:
- Apple Cellular Water: An active which is soothing on the skin and boosts elasticity.
- Sugar Beets: Helps to keep even the driest of skin types moisturised and prevents further moisture loss.
- Oat Kernel Extract: A soothing and calming ingredient that is great at reducing redness in the skin and keeping it well hydrated.
As the Apple Complex Moisturiser is water-based, it has an incredibly lightweight, silky consistency that rubs onto the skin with ease, absorbing in an instant and leaving no residue behind. It leaves skin feeling instantly softer to the touch and doesn’t have any shine or tacky feel on the skin, making it perfect for layering with other skincare products and wearing under make-up.
I personally have a dry and dehydrated skin type, prone to areas of sensitivity and eczema breakouts that make moisturisers so important within my own skincare routine. The Apple Complex Moisturiser left my skin feeling incredibly soft and supple after use, soothing any sensitive areas and maintaining the moisture levels in my skin for the majority of the day. I like how comfortable it feels on the skin, as it absorbs so beautifully thanks to its lightweight nature, and ensures my face is feeling calm and hydrated all day long.
For me, Nordic Roots Apple Complex Moisturiser is a great day cream, integrating into my existing routine with ease and keeping my dry and sensitive skin happy throughout the day. For me personally, I wouldn’t use this in my evening skincare routine as I prefer slightly richer formulations at night, yet I feel this would make for a great nighttime product if you prefer a lighter formulation or have a more normal/combination skin type.
If you are searching for a scent-free moisturiser that truly delivers on all it’s promises then I highly recommend you try Green People’s Nordic Roots Apple Complex Moisturiser. I love everything from the texture and packaging to the unique Nordic actives and overall performance which makes this an absolute joy to use. It has worked wonders on my dry skin and works beautifully with the rest of the Nordic Roots. I can see this really becoming a staple for all skin types from oily to sensitive – and everything in between.
Have you tried Green People’s Nordic Roots collection yet? You can find all my previous reviews here and they’ll be a brand new review of the brand’s Nordic Roots Marine Facial Oil coming up in the new year too.
