|Gifted|When it comes to a weekly skincare ritual, no routine is complete without exfoliating or masking to keep skin in tip top condition. Roze Mountains’s 2-in-1 Purify My Skin is very different to other masking products in my collection, not only due to its innovative texture but it’s beautiful ingredients too…

The Purify My Skin Gel-to-Milk Face Mask is rich in antioxidants, not only helping to fight free radicals and the effects of pollution but also helping to repair the skin for a brighter complexion. The exfoliating mask contains a wealth of skin loving ingredients that help to smooth, soften, tighten pores and detoxify the skin, all while helping to renew and refresh the complexion without any irritation:

  • Vegatable charcoal,
  • Moroccan Rhassoul clay,
  • Curcuma (Turmeric),
  • Allantoin,
  • Vitamin E,
  • Olive fruit oil,
  • Rice brand oil,
  • Sesame seed oil,
  • Glycerin,
  • Bergamot,
  • Spearmint,
  • Peppermint.

The texture of the mask is gentle yet effective, with a thick consistency that glides across the skin with ease and holds well throughout application and use. What I love most is that it doesn’t dry out like other clay masks, so you don’t need to spritz the mask down to re-hydrate at any point, making the experience incredibly relaxing. The gentle nature of the mask is not only recognised from the lovely ingredients but also in the way the mask turns to a milk on contact with water. This means that you don’t require a face cloth for removal, so your skin won’t become over exfoliated while you take off product – something which happens all so often with other exfoliating skincare.

I must say that the whole experience, from application and minty-fresh aroma to the amazing results after use has been incredibly positive, as it left my skin feeling soft and smooth without any irritation. As a 20 minute mask, it really nourished my skin while helping to gently eradicate dead skin cells and dry patches from my forehead and around my nose. My skin didn’t appear red or feel irritated after use, and after several applications, my complexion certainly looked brighter in its appearance. I have also used this as a quick facial exfoliator and my skin reaped similar benefits in terms of the look and feel of my face, however I didn’t feel it has that hydrating, nourishing properties that the mask had – which is completely understandable.

I have to say that my experience with the Purify My Skin Gel-to-Milk Exfoliating Face Mask has been incredible, with a myriad of properties that really helped my skin look and feel at it’s best. It has been a real skincare saviour throughout the cooler months, with the central heating and wintry weather playing havoc with my skin. I love the way in which it helps to tackle those effects of pollution, as does the whole Roze Mountain range, as it makes it perfect as we go about our everyday lives. For me, this weekly ritual kept my skin looking better throughout the week, allowing my skincare to penetrate easily and maintain a healthy complexion that was certainly a welcomed addition.
