|AD – PR| Making small, eco-friendly changes within your beauty routine can make a big impact in reducing single-use plastic from your daily life. By swapping some of your beauty products and accessories to more ethical and sustainable choices, you’ll be sure to up your beauty game and spend less long-term, all with very minimal effort.

Thankfully, brands such as Coconut & Cotton are paving the way with an array of sustainable options, not just for your beauty routine, but also for home and lifestyle too. They are stockists of some fantastic ethical brands including Fit Pit, Georganics, Kutis, Benecos and Corinne Taylor to name a few, yet it is their very own branded face cloths that have been impressing me over the past few months.

It’s all in the details…

Coconut & Cotton’s Dual Cleansing Cloths are made from cotton fabric organically and regeneratively grown & woven in Türkiye, yet the cloths themselves are cut, sewn and packed in Devon.

So why have the brand decided to go for an organic and regeneratively grown fabric from Türkiye? When cotton is regeneratively grown, it goes beyond organic farming and actually aids the ecosystem around it. It prioritises soil health, biodiversity, water conservation, and carbon sequestration within it’s surroundings which in turn, increases food security and supports communities. It’s one of the most ethical choices when it comes to the origin of the 100% organic cotton and something which was clearly very important to the brand-founder, Lucy.

The cloths arrive neatly folded in a cardboard sleeve made from 80% PCW recycled card, which is printed here in the UK, and contains a wealth of information about the brand, materials and all-important usage details. If it is transparency you’re looking for, then Coconut & Cotton are the brand for you, even detailing country of origin of both the thread and label material used in the finished product.

A Cleansing Cloth for All…

I’ve had the privilege of trying a range of sizes and colours of the new dual sided cleansing cloths and have been incredibly impressed by the quality and performance of each one. All the cloths are made from the same 100% organic cotton, with very soft, flannel-like side that is perfect for make-up and mask removal and an incredibly soft side that makes daily cleansing an absolute dream. As someone who suffers from eczema flare-ups and patches of dry, irritated skin, these cloths really helped to up my cleansing game. They create the most gentle cleansing experience i’ve ever had, with an incredibly light exfoliation on one side and velvet-soft texture on the other.

The Gentle Dual Cleansing Cloths, come in a set of three and is the smallest size available, What I love most is that these come in a very dark charcoal shade which makes them perfect for disguising make-up and oil-cleanser stains from your cloths. The Large Dual Cleansing Cloths are sold singly, and come in cream, moss green and charcoal to suit any preference. The larger size also come with a useful hanging loop and are still created from the same 100% cotton as the smaller size.

What I has impressed me most about the Coconut & Cotton Cleansing Cloths is how they wash, as not only do all the stains and residue from my cleansers come out with ease but they can also be air dried or tumble-dried, with either option having no effect upon the integrity of the cloth itself.

It is safe to say that I have been impressed by the quality, sustainability and performance have certainly exceeded my expectations. A cleansing cloth can really make or break your cleansing routine, and finding one that ticks all the boxes as Coconut & Cotton’s Dual Cleansing Cloths do, is something which is very rare indeed.
