The winners of the Free From Living Awards 2025 have just been announced and as a product tester this year, I couldn’t wait to find out who had been recognised for their achievements.
The Free From Living Awards launched last year by Alex Gazzola, the director of the Free From Skincare Awards. The FFLA covers a wide variety of categories from pet care, cleaning products and home fragrance to health, wellbeing and oral care. The awards, now in its second year, celebrates products that are either allergy-safe, vegan, natural or free-from particular ingredients.
This year’s overall champion was Eco-Mate’s Multi-Surface Cleaner, a product which was praised for its gentle yet effective approach to cleaning. It also took gold in the Home Care & Cleaning category, beating some stiff competition. The runners up for overall champion were the worthy BeeInspired Skincare Propolis Cream and MAMO, Lemon, Rose, White Musk “Value Your Energy” Wax Melts, two products that both won gold in their categories.
Both Mamo and BeeInspired Skincare did incredibly well in the Best Brand category too, with Mamo scooping bronze and BeeInspired Skincare taking home the silver. Friendly Soap took the gold medal for Best Brand thanks to their multiple wins across several categories.
The innovation category, which launched this year, rewards brands on their overall approach to innovation through product type, environmental impact, packaging, marketing or allergy-free credentials. MAMO and PÈLL took bronze, with Eco-Mate, Monkey + Moon and PÄRLA Oral Care winning silver. It was Lingora that took home the gold for Innovation, with their Natural Oral Rinse which was a silver award winner in the Oral Care category too.

Some Tried & Tested Favourites from the Awards
Shade: All-Natural Sunscreen, Organic SPF25 Unscented (Bronze, Summer & Sun Care)
I found myself reaching for this time and time again over the full testing period as it suited my skin and didn’t cause any issues for my dry, eczema-prone skin. I like the way it absorbs and the initial white cast on application became a great tool for seeing any areas I’d missed. I feel like this delivered on its promises as it didn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts, thanks to the minimal ingredient list, and my skin didn’t burn after spending time outdoors.
Monkey + Moon: Charcoal Toothpaste – Peppermint (Silver, Oral Care)
I was impressed by this toothpaste. It felt nice to use and had a nice minty flavour that wasn’t too strong. It made my teeth feel clean and the effects lasted all day. The more I used this toothpaste, the more I enjoyed it. I noticed that towards the end of the testing period that some surface stains on my teeth had disappeared and my teeth looked slightly whiter. My breath remained fresh throughout the day and my mouth felt cleaner than when using my previous toothpaste. I feel this really delivered great results.
Lavender & Lemon: All Purpose Cleaner (Silver, Home Care & Cleaning)
This has been my go-to cleaner since I discovered it last year as it is performs incredibly well on a wide variety of surfaces from quartz worktops, bathroom sink and glass, induction hob. It cleans effortlessly without having to scrub and it has the most beautiful aroma that gives your home a spa-like scent with each use. I love the eco-friendly packaging and multipurpose nature that makes my cleaning routine as Earth-Conscious as possible.
MAMO: Dog Paw & Nose Balm – In my wellness era (Silver, Pet Care)
The soft texture made application easy and effective with a little going a long way. I used it on my 7 year old black Labrador’s nose and paws and he loved it. His paws and nose were softer and less dry after application, with only his pads needing balm after just 2 days of use. I found this so effective that I even used it on Jake’s dry elbow. The way it absorbed meant that I didn’t have greasy marks anywhere like other balms i’ve tried in the past. His paws continued to reap the benefits of this beautiful balm, as they were soft and supple after a few weeks of use, and his dry nose was completely eradicated.
