Throughout the year, I’ve been using a lot of clay masks as my skin has been feeling pretty lack lustre and in need of a good detox. With so many clay face masks on the market, it is difficult to choose which one is right for you. I have to say that one of my favourites so far has been Laila London’s Chamomile and Lavender Clay Mask, which has really delivered when it comes to great results.
Laila London was born out of one woman’s passion for all things natural and organic. All the products from the brand are handmade, cruelty free and use sustainable organic ingredients. With such an amazing array of products to try, it is no surprise that they have been shortlisted for the Beauty Awards 2017, especially as their products are aimed at any gender, ethnicity, age group and skin type (there really is a product for everyone!).
Their Clay Mask, with healing Bentonite Aztec clay, chamomile and lavender, is guaranteed to give deep pore cleansing, shrink pores, remove impurities and tone and tighten the skin. As a natural and organic product, it is even suitable for sensitive skin and can improve Eczema, Dermatitis, Psoriasis and skin infections.
After mixing a spoon of powder with a few spoons of water, the paste goes onto the skin with ease and holds well on the face. Despite the clay powder containing chamomile and lavender, the mask is actually odourless, which makes it pleasant when it’s on the skin. After 15 minutes, a quick wipe with a warm, damp cloth and skin looks brighter and feels incredibly soft, fresh and less congested. Unlike other clay masks I’ve used in the past, this doesn’t seem to have a drying effect on my already dry skin and actually makes my skin feel more hydrated.
I have to say that I’m impressed with the results from the Laila London Clay Mask, as not only does it detox my skin but it also improves the texture too. The way the mask comes in a powder form gives the product a fun DIY feel while also giving you the confidence that the product will actually work and give great results. The brand’s mantra that we should live simply and as naturally as possible, and that simple is best when it comes to skincare, is certainly realised in this product. I can’t wait to try more from Laila London and see what other delights the brand can offer.

I have incredibly dry skin, so this sounds like a reasonable one for me. I may try it next time I need a mask x

It’s been the best one I’ve tried as it didn’t dry my skin out at all. If you ever try it I’d love to know what you think 💜
