As most of you will know, Bloomtown are among my favourite natural skincare brands. To feed my Bloomtown obsession last year, I purchased the amazingly great value ‘Go Palm Oil – Free’ kit; a gift-wrapped box of full sized goodies, all personalised to your favourite Bloomtown signature fragrance…
Bloomtown is an ethnical and innovative natural skincare brand which prides itself on creating products which respect both people and animals, as well as the environment. All their products, are cruelty-free, vegan, free from Palm Oil, Paraben-free and eco-friendly. Their Ultimate ‘Go Palm Oil-Free’ kit features products from their extensive range which not only gives you a chance to try their products, but also support their campaign to eradicate the use of palm oil in household products which causes extensive rainforest devastation in Indonesia and Malaysia. If you’d like to find out more about the cultivation of Palm Oil, and all about Bloomtown’s mission, you can find it here.
So here’s my full review of Bloomtown’s The Ultimate ‘Go Palm Oil – Free’ Kit – I hope you enjoy…
Hand and Body Wash – The Grove
I was so impressed by the generous size of this liquid soap, which is also free from SLS as well as Palm oil and Parabens, and I love the handy pump which makes it so easy to use. Made with coconut and olive oil, this hand and body wash cleanses the skin without drying it out and creates an intense lather which means a little product goes a really long way! It made my skin feel clean and nourished – and smelling beautifully of pink grapefruit and blood orange, which as you might tell from my product selection in this box, is my favourite of Bloomtown’s fragrances!
Organic Lip Balm – Red and Berried
Lip balms are always an essential item during the winter months and this Red and Berried lip balm, with a tint of berry red, gives lips a glossy feel without any stickiness. The formula is created with organic cocoa butter, candelilla, sweet almond oil, castor oil and vitamin E, as well as natural berry extract which gives the gorgeously delicate red hue to the lips. The skin loving ingredients leave lips feeling moisturised and protects them against the elements (as well as smelling amazing!). I have to say that this is amongst my favourite lip balms and is the perfect alternative to wearing lipstick.
Relaxing Bath Salts – The Grove
I’ve been loving bath salts recently and these are among some of my favourites, as they not only soothe aches and pains but also leave my skin feeling softer and moisturised. The pink Himalayan salts, enriched with Vitamin E and Sweet Almond Oil, are perfectly balanced with The Grove fragrance to create a gorgeous bath time treat. The packaging also looks great in the bathroom and would make the perfect gift for someone special.
Exfoliating and Moisturising Sugar Scrub – The Spring
It is no secret that Bloomtown’s Sugar Scrubs are favourites of mine, as I’ve tried both The Spring and The Grove in the past and loved them equally. I was so impressed by this particularly large jar of body scrub that I even featured it in my top ten beauty products of 2017. The Spring is a beautiful unscented scrub with contains soothing blue clay and anti-inflammatory indigo leaf, as well as coconut extract, mango butter and Vitamin E, to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise the skin. This 3-in-1 scrub is a real all-rounder and complete sensitive skin saviour which I wouldn’t be without!
Roll-On Infused Oil – The Grove
The small roll-on, which is the perfect size for your handbag, is made with sweet almond oil, Meadowfoam and sesame oil, and is available in 6 of Bloomtown’s signature scents. The nourishing oil can be used in multiple ways from a pulse-point pick me up, to dry skin patches – and even on split ends! I love to keep this in my bag to keep dry skin moisturised, as it’s so easy to apply, doesn’t clog pores and absorbs nicely into the skin. This is a great skincare treat that ignites the senses and keeps skin in tip-top condition.
Blue Clay and Indigo Leaf Soothing Clay Mask
Who doesn’t love a face mask? This was in fact a welcome treat in ‘Go Palm Oil – Free’ Kit as my skin really craves masks during the winter months. As a dry skin suffer, sometimes clay masks dry my skin out too much, yet this one is a completely difference experience. Soothing Indigo Leaf and hydrating nettle root, coconut extract and radish root ensure that skin doesn’t dry out or become irritated. The Blue Bentonite clay acts as a non-drying base, so the mask itself doesn’t dry – meaning you won’t feel that tightness or cracking you experience from similar face masks. As you don’t need a lot of product, this 60g jar should last around 25 applications, which I think is great value for money. The texture of the mask itself is quite thick, which is great as it holds on the skin well, and the very subtle scent is earthy yet fresh. I use this mask once or twice a week, and my skin definitely feels smoother and softer after use. I even use it when my eczema flares up, as it calms and soothes the skin irritation. If you suffer from dry and sensitive skin, or even conditions such as eczema or psoriasis, I think this is certainly a face mask to try!
Nourishing Soap Bar and Eco-Friendly Soap Dish – The Grove
I love handmade soaps and was excited to try this one from Bloomtown. The soap, which is handcrafted using premium plant oils and butters, cleanses away dirt, oils and make-up, to leave behind clean and soft skin. The soap, which smells amazing in my favourite scent, creates a lovely creamy lather. It leaves skin feeling clean and fresh yet moisturised and not dry at all. The inclusion of this eco-friendly soap dish allows the soap to dry out before the next use, and unlike traditional soap dishes, the soap doesn’t stick meaning a more pleasant bath time!
Nourishing Body and Bath Oil – The Grove
If you’ve read my blog before, you’ll have probably noticed that I have a slight addiction to two beauty items in particular – oils and multi-tasking products. I don’t know where to start with this Nourishing Body and Bath Oil, featured previously in this post in its roll-on form, as it is such an amazing product which is so versatile. Not only is this great as a body and massage oil, as it hydrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and not greasy at all, but you can also use it as a bath oil, hair oil and make-up remover! It is extremely effective in every single one of it’s uses, as my skin felt great, my hair was lovely and soft and my make-up was well and truly removed with no irritation at all. This is such an affordable multipurpose item that really does feel luxurious in it’s many applications.
I have honestly never seen such an fantastic array of full-sized products featured in a set before, especially for just £65.70! With their amazing ethos, and game-changing products, Bloomtown deserve every inch of success! If you haven’t tried any of their products, then be sure to make 2018 the year to start your Bloomtown journey – you certainly won’t regret it!
