I received Beauty Kitchen’s Seahorse Plankton High Definition Facial Oil in my Holland and Barrett advent calendar last year and even though I gave a little first impressions post, I was so impressed that I thought it was worthy of a full review…
Beauty Kitchen create affordable beauty products made with pure essential oils and naturally derived sustainable ingredients. Their extensive product range is completely natural, cruelty free, very affordable and there’s a wide variety of vegan products available too.
The whole Seahorse Plankton range contains plankton microalgae which is full of vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants – and impressively boosts collagen production by 19.3% in 24 hours!
The Seahorse Plankton High Definition Facial Oil is proven to plump and protect the skin while also improving the appearance of fine lines, soothing problem skin and boosting elasticity. The formula itself is lightweight, and actually feels more like a silky lotion on the skin rather than an oil, and leaves behind a lovely subtle sheen. My positive experience from December hasn’t changed, as my skin still feels silky smooth to the touch immediately after use and my face feels hydrated throughout the day. I’ve used it when my skin has been slightly irritated, and it’s made it feel more comfortable and nourished, and my skin looks more alive and rested now I’ve been using it for a while. I’ve even started to enjoy the scent (which was one of the negatives when I first tried it!), and a little oil goes a really long way, making it great value for money at just £19.99!
I cannot wait to try more Beauty Kitchen products, as the value for money and great quality product has really impressed me, and the brand’s ethos is what every natural skincare brand should aspire to achieve.
Have you tried any Beauty Kitchen products? I’d love to know in the comments below.
