I am always on the lookout for high quality cleansing products that are natural, effective and give great results – and luckily i’ve found one recently in Amaranthine’s Cleansing Balm.

Amaranthine is a Scottish eco-conscious beauty brand with a true passion and dedication to great skin as well as protecting the environment. All of Amaranthine’s products are handmade, palm oil free, use unrefined ingredients and are are housed in packaging which is recyclable and reusable. Better yet Sarah, the founder of Amaranthine, has a background in nursing and beauty therapy so you are safe in the knowledge that the products are designed with great skin and well being in mind. Amaranthine by definition is ‘undying, immortal, eternally beautiful’; capturing the true intentions of the brand and demonstrating that the effects of utilising great skincare in your routine can last a lifetime.

As a person who suffers with dry skin, I love utilising a cleansing balm in my routine as they are a great way to cleanse and remove make-up while also nourishing the skin at the same time. Amaranthine’s Cleansing Balm comes in a violet glass jar with simple labelling which mirrors the clean and simplistic ethos of the brand itself. The cleansing balm is unlike any other i’ve used in the past as the consistency is much like a hybrid of cleansing balm and melt – a silky, smooth formulation containing oils such as Apricot, castor and coconut, alongside mango butters and organic beeswax, to rid the skin of dirt, grime, SPF and make-up. But Amaranthine’s Cleansing Balm goes beyond a simple cleanser, as the balm also contains Papaya Fruit Enzymes to gentle exfoliate the skin to leave behind a brighter more radiant complexion. Essential oils of palmarosa and lavender bring a sense of calm to the skin and the senses thanks to their naturally antibacterial and balancing qualities, while the addition of natural vitamin e brings an antioxidant property to repair and protect the skin from environmental damage.

A small pea-sized amount of balm spreads across the face with ease, melting away all traces of SPF and make-up in its wake to reveal skin which was incredibly soft to the touch. I have to say that my skin felt soft and smooth after use with no feeling of tightening or dryness at all. After using this once to twice a day for the past few weeks, i’ve certainly noticed my skin has greatly improved thanks to the exfoliating aspect. My face looked fresher and less dull in its appearance and my skin stayed flake-free for longer despite not altering any other skincare products. I love the perfectly-balanced lavender aroma which is calming and relaxing, making the cleansing process a truly pampering experience. Its performance has certainly been exceptional so far, and thanks to a little product going a long way, the balm is great value for money.

The best news is that Amaranthine’s Cleansing Balm is suitable on all skin types thanks to the beautiful ingredients that are intensely nourishing yet won’t clog pores or irritate the skin. It will balance oily skin types, moisturise dry skin, protect normal skin types and brighten dull or mature skin; making it the cleansing balm for all!

Amaranthine’s Cleansing Balm has been a joy to use, a balm which has  certainly exceeded my initial expectations. It has worked perfectly when the weather has been cool and damp, bright and sunny and everything in between. It is also coping well in the warmer temperatures we’ve been experiencing recently when my other balms are softening more than i’d like. After this experience it is safe to say the brand are one to watch, with a product range designed with everyone in mind.

    1. Oooo I haven’t tried their body products as yet but will certainly be checking them out. It’s a shame about the cleansing balm but at least you’ve found something from their range you love – I absolutely love the brand 💚💚💚
