If you’ve been following me for a while, i’m sure I don’t have to tell you how much I love The Natural Beauty Box delivery each month as the box contents and overall value for money never fails to impress.

August’s Invigorate Box was certainly no exception with 6 products which were incredibly varied and perfect for this time of year.  I always love the array of products by amazing brands in each edit and with an overall box value of £62.90, this was certainly an impressive box of skincare delights that I couldn’t wait to try out.

The Natural Beauty Pot: Soothing Cleansing Oil

I’ve had a few products on my wish list from The Natural Beauty Pot so was delighted to finally try one of their beautiful skincare products. The Soothing Cleansing Oil contains vitamin rich jojoba, grapeseed and sunflower oils, alongside rose absolute, to give dry, dull and dehydrated skin a deep cleanse while soothing and calming the skin. The beautiful, delicate rose aroma is a true treat for the senses as well as the skin, promoting a sense of relaxation, balance and wellbeing. The oil itself has a rich consistency which feels surprisingly lightweight as you massage it onto the skin, ever so slightly emulsifying on contact with water and rinsing off with one wipe of a warm, damp cloth. I have to say that my experience with The Natural Beauty Pot’s Soothing Cleansing Oil has only been positive so far, as it has eradicated all traces of SPF and make-up, leaving my skin feeling incredibly soft, smooth and nourished – without any tightness or drying. The best news is that one application removed my waterproof mascara without any stinging or watering of the eyes! I must say that this is among some of my favourite oil cleansers and I can’t wait to try more from the brand in the not-so-distant future.

Fruu: Strawberry Creme Natural Tinted Lip Balm

Surprisingly, this was my first time trying a Fruu product yet after hearing such amazing reviews in the past, I was certainly excited to try their Strawberry Creme Colour Balm in August’s box. The colour balm is formulated with watermelon and avocado oils, as well as aloe and banana extract, to moisturise and soothe lips while delivering an intense pop of colour.  The balm has great colour pay off, with one swipe giving lips a lovely pink hue that is buildable with a matt finish. Fruu’s Colour Balm has a lovely scent of watermelon that is very different from my usual lip balms that are peppermint or citrus-scented. Even though the balm had a watermelon fragrance, I wouldn’t say the balm had a particular flavour as such, or if it did, it was subtle enough for me not to notice.  I must say that I usually find tinted balms a little drying over time, yet Fruu’s Colour Balm did leave my lips feeling nourished after use and despite the matt finish, didn’t feel tight like other matt balms. Even though I enjoyed using this as a lip balm, I found that it also came in really handy on my cheeks to give my skin a rosey glow that wasn’t too shiny and worked well with my dry skin type. Fruu’s Colour Balm has been my go-to for a quick pop of colour throughout the day and it suited my pale complexion well. As far as affordable and effective tinted lip products go, you certainly won’t beat Fruu’s Colour Balms.

Bergamot & Me: Energy Aromatherepy Roller Ball with Peppermint

I am always happy to see a pulse point oil in my beauty box and was very excited to try this peppermint based oil from Bergamot + Me. The Energy aromatherapy oil is a blend of organic sweet almond oil, sweet orange and peppermint to awaken and invigorate the senses. The oil has the must beautiful bold, peppermint aroma that immediately brings clarity and boosts concentration. The oil is highly absorbent yet leaves the minty aroma for around an hour after use, a scent which slowly dissipates to a gentle mint which is lovely and fresh. I have to say that this has become one of my go-to pulse point oils since my box arrived, as it I often struggle with maintaining my concentration levels and this has certainly helped me focus my mind and boost my energy levels. I would certainly recommend if you find your energy levels dip somewhat during the day as this will really boost your mood and awaken your senses to leave you feeling refreshed and full of energy.

Nakin: Revitalising Face Oil

I am already a huge fan of Nakin products as my experience has only been positive with each product i’ve tried so far. Their Revitalising Face Oil contains an array of beautiful oils including olive, grapeseed, sweet almond, argan, baobab, jojoba and peach kernel to nourish even the most dry and sensitive skin types. The oil itself has a lightweight texture which absorbs into the skin with ease, leaving behind a very subtle sheen and healthy glow. The oil has a slightly citrusy aroma which dissipates to leave the natural scent of the oils themselves, giving an earthy and nutty quality on the skin. I’ve been loving how the oil feels as it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy yet leaves my skin feeling intensely moisturised after use. I’ve even found that it has hydrated a few healing eczema patches across my cheeks which tend to be dry and flaky, and the effects last throughout the day. As far as first impressions go, I have to say that i’ve been impressed by the overall performance of Nakin’s Revitalising Face Oil as it has certainly left my skin feeling soft, smooth and flake-free since I began using it. Like all other Nakin products i’ve tried in the past, it has certainly delivered on its promises and I can’t wait to see how it performs on a long term basis.

Organii: Hand Cream

Organii products have always been winners when it comes to effective and affordable products but this was my first experience with their hand cream so I was excited to see if this lived up to my high expectations. Organii’s Gentle Care Hand Cream for Sensitive Skin is formulated with sweet almond oil and calendula extract to soothe, protect and nourish hands.  The hand cream itself is lightweight and highly absorbent, leaving behind no greasy residue after use. I am personally not a huge fan of the scent, however I must say that it dissipates so quickly that I haven’t really noticed it after a few minutes. It feels lovely on the skin and actually, thanks to its non-sticky texture has actually made me want to use it meaning my hands have never felt better! This has certainly been the most absorbent hand cream i’ve used to date and despite my negativity towards the scent, I have to say this hand cream is certainly a keeper.

Organii: Gentle Care Hand Cream – £2.95/75ml

Natura: Turmeric Sheet Mask

I do love a good sheet mask as they certainly boost the hydration levels in my very dry skin type, however I don’t use them on a regular basis due to the environmental impact they have (but thankfully Natura’s sheet mask is made from biodegradable bamboo so it is a little more eco-friendly than many others on the market). Turmeric is a multi-tasking superfood boasting anti-aging properties to re-energise, promote cell renewal and fight free radicals. The mask itself is a good size and was easy to adjust in order to fit my facial features. I have to say that it was quite a wet sheet mask however it didn’t drip too much when applied to my skin and allowed me to take the excess serum down my neck and decolletage for more skin loving benefits. On removal I must say my skin felt very soft and smooth and my forehead, which was particular dry before use, certainly felt nourished and hydrated. My skincare products definitely absorbed better into my skin after use and the effects lasted for several days. I would definitely use this mask again when my skin needed a little boost, perhaps when the seasonal change causes my skin to dry out a little more than usual, as it certainly performed well and left my skin looking and feeling better after use.

Natura: Turmeric Sheet Mask – £4.95 each

I can’t stress how much I enjoyed August’s edit of The Natural Beauty Box as the selection of products and affordable prices made it one among my favourite boxes to date. I am never disappointed by the quality of The Natural Beauty Box and the attention to detail and passion for natural and cruelty free skincare is certainly realised within each box.
