January is the time of year when we take advantage of the fresh start to reassess our lifestyle choices and when it comes to upgrading our self care routine, The Natural Wellness Box is the perfect solution.
There are so many benefits when it comes to subscription boxes, first of which is their increcible value for money as well as being a way to explore a wide variety of products for a fraction of the cost – plus the element of surprise always makes for an exciting delivery!
The Natural Wellness Box is very different to others i’ve tried in the past (which is one of the reasons it was among my favourite brand discoveries of 2021) as it contains an average of around 6 – 9 products bi-monthly, ranging from drinks and snacks to supplements and natural beauty; making the contents a great all-round experience.
I have tried two boxes so far – ‘The Summer Nights Collection’ and ‘The Nurture Collection’ – and have just ordered January’s new ‘Renew Collection’ which sounds like the perfect theme for a New Year. With each box i’ve tried, I have been blown away by the quality of the contents and have discovered some great brands to explore in the future. The boxes are always well-packaged, beautifully curated and incredibly informative when it comes to the the descriptions of the items inside.
Here is a brief look at the boxes i’ve received so far, as well as a mini review of the beautiful Nurture Collection which is currently in The Natural Wellness Box sale…
|Ad – Gifted| I was incredibly impressed by the first box I received and even though the box has now sold out, it certainly introduced me to some incredible products and gives a great insight into what to expect from The Natural Wellness Box bi-monthly subscription boxes.
The box contained over £90 worth of products in full sizes (and one sample), making it a bumper box which was exceptional value for money. The stars of the show for me were No Secrets Cosmetics Shower Cream – as I’m already a huge fan – and the gorgeous African Moss candle from Liha Beauty which smells incredible and looks just as good. If you’re looking for Multivitamins that taste good then Fight Vitamins Mango flavoured gummies are a great choice, not only for their palatable offerings but also for their charitable nature; donating a nutritious meal for every bottle sold. I really enjoyed trying Vita Coco’s latest product, and although the Cloved Orange flavour wasn’t for me, it is great to see a canned drink featuring CBD. The same goes for Squirrel Sister’s Peanut Raspberry Snack Bar. I don’t like sultanas, so I wasn’t a fan of the bar personally, but I love the fact that the brand are offering a bar which is natural, gluten free, vegan and contains no added sugar – something which is really lacking when it comes to mainstream snacks such as this. The Summer Nights Collection also contained a confidence-boosting tincture from new-to-me brand Botanical Blooming Blends which incorporates my favourite adaptogen Ashwagandha that helps to boost inner strength and inner peace. Mono Skin’s mist was the only miss for me which is great considering the size of the box and variation of products.
|Ad – Gifted| Just when I thought that The Natural Wellness Box had peaked with the beautiful Summer Nights Collection, the Nurture Collection came along with a wonderful array of products that are still wowing me today. The best news is that the Nurture collection is currently in The Natural Wellness Box sale, so you still have time to explore this beautiful edit at a fraction of the cost…
What I loved in particular about the Nurture Collection was the amount of new-to-me brands I discovered, as it has certainly expanded my wishlist more than I anticipated and has upgraded my self-care routine for the better since it arrived.
It was lovely to see three skincare products feature, especially when they were all brands i’d heard great things about. The Salt + Steam Not Today Satan Facial Steam was a great addition for this time of year, with a detoxifying and and invigorating blend that is great for the skin and senses (while also having amazing decongestant properties). I love incorporating Halotherapy into my self-care rituals and Salt + Steam’s Not Today Satan is certainly one of my favourite facial steams i’ve used to date. Another winner for me was the beautiful Everyday Day Cream from NAYA Skincare, with a hydrating formulation that not only calms, moisturises and evens out the skin but also contains some actives to protect against premature aging from the blue light omitted from our electronic devices. The lovely lightweight texture and skin-loving ingredients makes it perfect to use alone or under make-up for a smoother finish making it an amazing versatile product. If these skincare saviours were not enough, the Nurture Collection also featured the beautiful Magnesium Spirulina Bath Salts and Scrub from Malako. These have been a staple in my routine since my Natural Wellness Box Nurture edit arrived thanks to their triple action formulation that soothes, detoxes and aids recovery. They are calming and have an amazing aroma that is luxurious and invigorating for an all-round relaxing experience when utilised as both a bath soak and as a bespoke exfoliant when mixed with your favourite oil.
When it comes to the lifestyle contents of the Nurture Collection, the box certainly didn’t disappoint. I’d been wanting to explore the Turmeric within my wellness routine so Your Bodhi Natural Turmeric Curcumin Supplements couldn’t have arrived at a better time. The capsules are easy to swallow and integrate into my daily life and although it is a little early to tell if they are working for me, I haven’t had any adverse effects. In a similar way to the Summer Nights collection, it was great to see a healthy snack which is gluten free, plant-based and vegan – as well as containing 40% less sugar than similar products on the market. Lexis Treats are creating their products for a wide variety of consumers as a healthy, yet very tasty treat indeed. When it came to drinks, there were two in the Nurture collection – a fermented ACV shot and vitamin tea bag – so I really was spoilt for choice. I received Willy’s Apple Cider Vinegar Health Shot with Beetroot, and although beetroot isn’t my favourite, it made ACV more palatable and the measured ready-to-drink shot was hassle free. The Tea + Vitamin C Tea Bag was certainly a welcomed addition to the Nurture box as a daily dose of Vitamin C is a must, especially during the Winter period. This tea had an orange and blueberry flavour which was very pleasant indeed and would certainly be on my shopping list in the future.
