|AD – Award Entry| If you follow me on social media, you’ll have seen that I have been selected as a judge for Cert Clean’s Clean Beauty Awards 2022. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity and even more delighted that I was given the facial oil category to judge. So far I have discovered some incredible new-to-me international brands and even though I am still in the testing phase, I have certainly discovered some amazing products so far…
One of the first oils I tried was BAO Laboratory’s Midnight Mirage Antioxidation Facial Oil, a product which is cruelty-free, vegan friendly and full of beautiful natural ingredients that cater to a wide variety of concerns and skin types. BAO Laboratory is a Woman-owned Canadian brand born from a desire to create a range of skincare that harnesses the power of the natural world with a science-based approach for skin that looks and feels at its best. BAO Laboratory’s range is formulated with with 100% natural ingredients such as pure essential oils, vegetables and wild and organic herbs, ensuring that their products are free from parabens, petroleum, synthetic colourants and artificial fragrance among many others. Their products are all dermatologically recommended as both hypoallergenic and non-comomedogenic, so you can be safe in the knowledge that the brand certainly know what they are doing when it comes to effective skincare.
The Midnight Mirage Antioxidation Facial Oil is a luxurious product that is perfect for a wealth of skin types from dry to oily, it really is designed for all. I personally found this worked wonders for my dry and dehydrated skin thanks to the beautiful, nourishing ingredients that worked in harmony to leave my skin soft, smooth and incredibly radiant. The oil contains potent antioxidants such as sea buckthorn oil and rosehip oil, two oils which give Midnight Mirage Antioxidation Facial Oil its intense, orange hue that is rich and concentrated. If you’ve used oils such as this in the past, you’ll know that a little goes a very long way and that they key is using it on damp skin for the best absorption.
If you’re looking for a facial oil that will protect your skin then BAO Laboratory certainly have you covered with Midnight Mirage Antioxidation Facial Oil as it is designed with environmental damage in mind, formulated to help your skin recover from exposure from environmental toxins that can cause dryness, premature aging, irritation and hyperpigmentation. You’ll find antioxidants such as Astaxanthin, Rosehip Oil and Sea Buckthorn alongside calming and hydrating key ingredients such as Squalane and Rose Absolute for an all-round healthy glow. From boosting elasticity, improving texture and reducing the appearance of fine lines to preserving moisture levels, stimulating collagen and healing irritated skin; Midnight Mirage Antioxidation Facial Oil seems to do it all.
My skin certainly felt smoother and more hydrated after several weeks of use, looking less lack-lustre in it’s appearance and helping to soften the fine lines appearing on my forehead. What I loved was the long lasting effect, with the deeply moisturising formulation keeping my skin free from dryness and flakiness from dawn until dusk, layering beautifully with my existing skincare and leaving my face feeling very happy indeed.
It is safe to say that I have enjoyed the BAO Laboratory experience immensely since I began testing and Midnight Mirage Antioxidation Facial Oil is perfect for modern day living. I cannot wait to explore their range further in the future as this is certainly an overseas brand I would love to try again.
