I am always on the lookout for high quality green beauty products that deliver great results and are still ethical when it comes to both ingredients and their impact upon the environment. Thankfully, Dalia Botanique ticks every box, with a range that is a true celebration of British ingredients and small batch beauty…
Dalia Botanique blossomed out of lockdown 2020 with a collection that celebrates British, bee-loving botanicals and helps support the natural world around us. The brand prides themselves on a product range that has a very low environmental impact, thanks to their formulations that feature British ingredients to support agriculture and oil seed crops nationwide, while also keeping the brand’s carbon footprint as low as possible. Yet it is not just the formulations themselves where Dalia Botanique convey their passion for the environment as they also ensure that they offer plastic free packaging where possible and plant a tree with each order in partnership with Ecologi. All of the range is handmade in small batches in Yorkshire to ensure that you receive the freshest formulation possible when you make a purchase as well as combating product wastage that happens all so often in large batch production. The brand are also 100% natural and vegan, with minimal inci lists that only contains ingredients that that have purpose.

The capsule collection of products, formulated for those who spend a lot of time outdoors or lead an active lifestyle, harness the power of nature to keep skin looking and feeling at its best all year around. Having tried several products from the brand, I can safely say that there is something very special about the formulations that are a real celebration of British ingredients and are incredibly affordable.
The first product from the range I tried was the beautiful Sea Buckthorn Face & Body Butter which featured in The Natural Beauty Box last year. The Sea Buckthorn Face and Body Butter is a beautifully whipped butter which is rich yet melts on contact with the skin, absorbing well and leaving skin looking intensely nourished and incredibly soft to the touch.

The intense colour from the eponymous sea buckthorn is visually appealing and brings with it a wealth of skin benefits that are perfect for all year around. Sea Buckthorn is joined by soothing chamomile and calendula, as well as nourishing ingredients such as hemp and shea butter, to give skin the moisture it needs to look and feel and its best. The fragrance free formulation is perfect for sensitive skin types and allows you to truly appreciate the natural, Earthy aroma of the natural ingredients themselves. What Dalia Botanique’s Sea Buckthorn Face & Body Butter showcases is that green beauty doesn’t have to cost the Earth as it is affordable yet still high quality, at just £10.00 for a 50g jar.
Dalia Botanique’s Huile Nettoyante Cleansing Oil is another of my personal favourites and has been a repurchase for me on multiple occasions. The Cleansing Oil gently cleanses the skin while softening and brightening the complexion with each use thanks to a stunning blend of natural ingredients such as Upcycled Raspberry Seed Oil,
Fair-trade Moringa Oil, Oat Oil, Hibiscus Infusion, Castor Oil and Olive Squalane to name a few.

The texture is incredibly lightweight, emulsifying with a little water to transform into a milk that rinses away from the skin with ease, eradicating all traces of make-up, SPF and daily impurities in its wake. The scent is uplifting, with Geranium and Grapefruit bringing a subtle freshness that is perfectly balanced and not overpowering in any way. My skin always feels clean, soft and supple after use with no areas of dryness or irritation, even on eczema patches. I love how Dalia Botanique offer two sizes – a 50ml trial size and 150ml full size – as well as a pump and cap option. This gives you the opportunity to try before you buy a full-sized version and purchase plastic free as a refill. What I love most is that prices start at just £9.00, so it is great for your skin as well as your bank balance.
Even though cleansing gives you the perfect foundation for a great skincare routine, nourishing the skin after use is a must which is why i’ve been loving Dalia Botanique’s Cocoa and Monoi Lip and Body Balm. This multitasker has become my go-to recently, with a beautifully textured balm that is soft, buttery and incredible on dry, chapped skin. It has a lovely chocolate aroma from cocoa butter and much like the Sea Buckthorn Face and Body Butter, allows you to appreciate the the natural scents from the beautiful ingredients.

What a love most is how a little balm goes a very long way and keeps skin deeply nourished and protected for a long period of time after application. I love to keep this in my handbag for on-the-go-application as I can use it on lips, cuticles and any dry patches on my face and body that I experience throughout the day. It might be slightly smaller than other multipurpose face and body balms on the market at just 30g yet at £9.00, the highly concentrated formulation, is incredible value for money.
Last but by no means least is the latest addition to the Dalia Botanique family. The brand have recently launched a range of shampoo bars which offer great hair care that is Earth-conscious in every way. I am a big fan of shampoo bars and the brand’s Green Clay & Rosemary Conditioning Bar is certainly among my favourites when it comes to performance and the look and feel of my hair after use. The Green Clay & Rosemary Conditioning Shampoo Bar is formulated with amazing ingredients to cleanse, protect and strengthen hair, improving the overall look and feel of every strand including Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Cocoa Butter, Provitamin B5, Phyrokeratin (plant-based Keratin),
and the eponymous Rosemary and green clay.

The shampoo bar creates a beautiful lather from first use, leaving hair feeling clean and bouncy thanks to the ph-balanced formulation that requires no acidic rinse. My hair is left feeling softer, more manageable and clean for several days after use and thanks to the lovely herbaceous aroma, treats the senses as well as the hair and scalp. I found this great value, as it lasted for a good deal of washes on my thick, longer length hair, and at just £9.00, is cost effective compared to many other solid haircare products from green beauty brands.
If you’re looking for a brand who offer affordable yet high quality products them I highly recommend Dalia Botanique. They have products designed for all and have recently launched two discovery collections so you can explore the range without the full-sized purchase commitment. I must say that I have been impressed with every product i’ve tried from the brand and will continue to work through the range of face and body products in the not-so-distant future.
