This year I decided to jump on the beauty advent calendar bandwagon and opted for this natural beauty advent from Holland and Barrett. Now I know that traditionally 12 Days of Christmas advent’s should be opened on Christmas day but i’m being a little controversial and opening mine every-other day throughout December so I can show you all what treats I received!

Before we begin, let me introduce you to the calendar itself. It’s presented in a lovely large box, decorated with a green snowflake design. The doors are placed on  Christmas scene-background which incorporates all of Holland and Barrett’s beauty product ethics. The best news is that the box can be reused and would make a great storage box when the festive period is over (or saved until next year to refill!).

Day One

Behind door number one is the Dead Sea Spa Magik BB cream in the shade ‘Natural’. As a dry skin sufferer, I usually avoid BB creams as they tend to cling to any dry patches, however this particular bb cream has quite a moisturising formula and seems to glide over the skin with ease. I was surprised at how dark the cream looks in the tube but I have to say that it blends nicely and only has the tiniest hint of colour to just even out your skin tone. I also liked that the product smells nice, has an SPF of 15 and contains Vitamin C and E to promote collagen production and protect and repair the skin.

Day one has certainly been a positive and I can’t wait to share my thoughts on day two!

Don’t forget to subscribe/follow me to never miss a post!

Take care, Emma @ Beauty Folio x
