Eden Days Body – Best of the Butters

I first discovered Eden Days back in August when I received their Hawaiian Haven Body Butter in my very first Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box.

Eden Days are certainly an ethical skincare brand, not only in the products themselves but their attitudes to the environment too. Their extensive range of products are all handmade, cruelty-free, vegan friendly, sustainable, ethically sourced, completely zero-waste and 100% natural.

Their brand ethos is one to be admired, and after experiencing both the quality and affordability of their body butter, I knew my Christmas Gift Guide would not be the same without one of their amazing gift sets.

I opted to try out the Best of Butters gift set which contained three small tins of their best selling body butters in a cotton drawstring bag with geometric design.

Natural body butters are incredibly versatile in their uses, as they certainly go beyond a body moisturiser. You can use them as a foot butter, face moisturiser, cleanser, on sunburn and skin irritations and even on the hair to smooth flyaway’s and dry ends. They are an amazing all-round product that are perfect in any skincare emergency.

Eden Days Body: Hawaiian Haven Body Butter

This was the body butter that made me notice Eden Days as a brand, so I was thrilled to see it feature within the Best of Butters set. The body butter itself is formulated with a mix of organic butters and oils such as shea butter, avocado butter, coconut oil and grapeseed oil, alongside a blend of essential oils to create beautifully rich butter with feels intensely nourishing on the skin. The scent is heavenly, with neroli, geranium, ylang ylang and lavender which is light and still retains the natural aroma of the shea butter. Eden Days Body: Sensitive Soul

It is great to see a brand cater for more sensitive and problematic skin types by excluding essential oils from their products. Sensitive Soul is exactly that, as it contains only the ingredients necessary to moisturise, nourish and soothe the skin. In a similar way to Hawaiian Haven, Sensitive Soul is packed full of skin-loving organic ingredients such as shea butter, aloe vera butter, jojoba oil, calendula and red bush to help those who suffer from eczema and psoriasis – and is even gentle enough for use on babies and small children. The texture is very much the same as the other body butters, as it has a thick, rich consistency which melts on contact with the skin leaving behind a non-greasy sheen. The scent is as nature intended with nothing added or removed from the natural fragrance of the ethically sourced ingredients. I have used this on my arms recently after an eczema flare-up and have to say that it certainly helped to keep irritation at bay and soothed the redness and itchiness I’d been experiencing. I personally love calendula in my skincare products, as I always find they keep my skin eczema-free and have so many other amazing properties that is so beneficial for any skin type. If you have sensitive skin, then this is certainly the body butter for you as it really delivers on it’s promises and also makes for a great unisex product for every age.

Eden Days Body: Jiggle Wiggle

I have to admit that despite loving each and every body butter in this set, Jiggle Wiggle is my personal favorite. Its fun name comes from the very formula of the body butter itself which contains a wealth of essential oils designed to target cellulite and firm the skin. Jiggle Wiggle smells incredible, with essential oils of grapefruit, cypress, geranium and rosemary, which gives a fresh and zesty scent with a subtle herby fragrance to lift the senses as well the treat the skin. Not only this, but these beautifully scented essential oils all works in harmony to increase lymphatic drainage, improve circulation and eliminate toxins from the body. The body butter has the same great texture of the previous two butters, and melts into the skin with ease. Although I haven’t seen any difference with my overall firmness of my skin as yet, I must say that my skin is gloriously moisturised and smells beautifully for a few hours after use.

I have been thrilled with overall performance of all three body butters and was thrilled to feature them in my Christmas Gift Guide this year. The way in which they use high quality ingredients and zero-waste packaging across their whole product range is something to be admired and certainly makes them one of my favorite brand discoveries this year. Thanks to my positive experience of their lovely body butters, I can’t wait to explore their affordable product range very soon.
