The Wild Mix: Blue Camo Cooling Mask (Review)

I first discovered The Wild Mix’s Blue Camo Cooling Mask back in October’s Skin Organics Clean Beauty BoxΒ and was delighted by first impressions. After using it on several occasions, and continuing to love the results, I thought it deserved a full review of its very own.

The Wild Mix is a brand with self-care at its heart, with a dedication to make products which benefit the skin and promote aroma-care and wellbeing. All the products are inspired by the natural world and have modern lifestyles in mind, enabling you to have a little more me-time without sacrificing the important things in day-to-day life. The Wild Mix range is 100% natural, certified organic, cruelty-free, vegan friendly, gluten-free and comes in biodegradable or recyclable packaging.

The trial-sized Blue Camo Mask I received in The Skin Organics Box enabled me to get several applications, so the full-sized version will be amazing value for money. The Blue Camo Mask is designed with sensitive or combination skin in mind, thanks to the skin loving ingredients of soft wild Cornish Kaolin clay, coconut milk powder, blue camomile, French lavender and cucumber glycerol extract which are all gentle and work in harmony to deliver a soothing yet moisturising formula. The mask itself smells beautiful, with the scent of lavender treating the skin as well as the senses.

On application, the top layer of the mask does dry out like a traditional clay mask however the mask underneath stays relatively moist and allows your face to move without any cracking of tightening. On removal, the mask simply rinses away with water like a milk, leaving behind super soft skin which feels clean, fresh and nourished, while looking visibly brighter with a dewy finish.

As discussed in my first impressions back in October, the mask’s cooling element wasn’t as I expected. I thought the mask was going to feel cold, but actually the cooling aspect refers to the soothing sensation on the skin. It specifically calms any irritation and areas of sensitivity, but also balances and relaxes too, improving the appearance of your complexion as well as making it feel at its best.

I have to say my experience of The Wild Mix has been incredible, and although I have only used a trial-sized version of one of their products, I am very excited to try more from their range. Their dedication to skincare and the passion behind the brand is realised in the simple yet effective Blue Camo Mask which made a huge difference to my skin.
