I love discovering amazing natural skincare brands who are dedicated to great skin and I have to say that on recently trying out products from The Earth Works Cosmetics, the brand are the epitome of everything I look for when it comes to great skincare.

TEWC was founded back in 2013 and are a family-run artisan skincare company with a passion for providing high quality and ethical products, alongside great customer service, to give customers the best skincare experience possible. Not only do TEWC create beautiful handmade and vegan-friendly products but they also run the successful TEWC Natural Therapies studio in Northamptonshire, sharing their passion for high quality skincare within their local community as well as nationwide.

When the lovely Ally at TEWC reached out and asked if i’d like to try some of their products I was delighted to say the least. After briefly trying one of their samples in The Natural Beauty Box earlier this year, and learning that the company was based just a few miles away from my hometown, I couldn’t wait to try their skincare range as there is nothing I love more than supporting indie brands who are determined to make a difference within the beauty industry.

Due to my dry skin type, Ally recommended I try two of their more premium products, a moisturising duo from their Regenerating range. It had been a while since i’d used a specific day and night cream within my skincare routine so I was excited to see how they’d perform compared to my usual moisturiser. As far as first impressions go, I was immediately impressed by the appearance of the duo, with the simplistic yet attractive label design and stunning packaging that wouldn’t look amiss amongst high-end, luxury skincare products. I love how the jars are fully reusable and recyclable, making the packaging, as well as the products inside, ethical and eco-friendly.

Regenerating Day Treatment*

TEWC’s Regenerating Day Treatment is the newest member of the TEWC family and after using this for several weeks, I can already tell that this will be a bestseller. The Regenerating Day Treatment is a blend of sweet almond oil, shea butter, avocado oil and rosehip seed oil, alongside horse chestnut seed extract and hawthorn fruit extract, which gives this daytime moisturiser a formulation that is rich in antioxidants, omega 3, 6 and 9, pro-vitamin A, Vitamin E and boasts anti-aging properties. The essential oil blend of grapefruit, rosewood and sandalwood gives the treatment its beautifully fresh, luxurious and unique aroma that makes it a joy to use in my AM routine.

The treatment itself is an incredibly lightweight and silky moisturiser that actually adopts a lotion-like consistency more than a heavy cream. It rubs into the skin beautifully, leaving behind a non-greasy sheen that absorbs within minutes leaving skin feeling moisturised in an instant. Despite its lightweight texture, the cream is incredibly nourishing as it keeps dry skin at bay throughout the day while also remaining light enough for use under SPF, make-up and balms without any piling or drying out. I found that it integrated well with my usual skincare routine, working in harmony with my serums and oils without any issues. What is even more impressive is that the formulation is so concentrated that a little product goes a very long way, so much so that after using this everyday for the past 6 weeks, I still have a good amount of product left in the jar. I don’t think i’ve experienced a facial cream quite like it, as I usually adopt thicker creams within my routine to keep my dry skin happy so this has been a welcome change for me and one that I can’t wait to continue using for the long haul.

TEWC: Regenerating Night Treatment*

I previously tried a sample of this in The Natural Beauty Box back in February and even though my experience was good, after trying it for a longer period of time, I can safely say that the sample certainly didn’t do the product any justice as I have been blown away with just how good this night treatment really is.

The ultra-rich night cream is formulated with shea butter, rosehip seed oil, macadamia butter, jojoba, Vitamin E and borage oil which, like its daytime counterpart, has incredible anti-aging properties and is full of antioxidants to help combat free radical damage.  I integrated this into my routine before the day treatment so have been using this for around 7 weeks so far and I personally noticed a difference in the moisture levels of my skin after first use. The buttery texture melted into the skin with ease and left a lovely, delicate balm-like feel to the skin which slowly absorbed after several minutes – a little longer than the lightweight, day treatment detailed above. The addition of geranium, frankincense, sweet orange, bergamot and rose absolute essential oils gives a subtle floral and citrus aroma that made this a pleasure to use as a treat for both the skin and the senses. I found that this has really improved the look and feel of my skin each morning and I wake up with skin that isn’t flaky, tight or dry at all. Much like the day cream, a little of the buttery goodness goes a very long way and the more I’ve been using it, the less product I need to use to see incredible results.

TEWC: Regenerating Night Treatment – £27.00/45g

After using the Regenerating Day and Night Treatment for a little over 6 weeks I can safely say that these won’t be leaving my skincare routine anytime soon. Both the day and Night Creams have helped to maintain my skin’s moisture levels throughout the summer months and have integrated well with my other products. The day cream has worked beautifully in conjunction with my SPF, keeping my skin flake-free all day when I usually struggle to keep my skin hydrated for even a few hours when wearing sunscreen. The night cream has been a shining light when it comes to my PM routine, as it has left me skin feeling soft and smooth while I sleep so I wake with skin that is deeply nourished and positively glowing.

It may have been a while since I utilised a specific day and night cream within my routine but it has certainly made a difference to my skin. The quality and value for money of TEWC’s products has been exceptional and I love the fact that you can buy in confidence  knowing that their passion for great skin is realised within the very products themselves.
