The Natural Beauty Box is always an exciting delivery each month with beautifully themed boxes that not only offer amazingly good value for money but have also introduced me to some incredible brands too.
October’s box, aptly named ‘Bedtime Bliss’ contained 5 plastic-free products to help relax and aid a good nights sleep when used in your evening routine. I had already tried two of the products, and am a huge fan of three of the brands so I already knew this box was going to be among my favourites…
Skin Alchemists: Intensive Skin Treatment (Sweet Dreams)
Skin Alchemists is one of my favourite luxury brands that offer an experience like no other, creating a harmonious skincare ritual with their stunning product range. As their Intensive Skin Treatment featured this in my Natural Skincare Christmas Gift Guide this year, I already knew how beautiful the Sweet Dreams Intensive Skin Treatment truly is. From the candle burning experience to the warm body oil application, no pampering experience is complete without the addition of Skin Alchemists’ Intensive Skin Treatment. If you’d like to read more about my experience, you can find my full review here.
Ezápé Naturals: Ylang Ylang and Lavender Body Oil
As a brand ambassador for Ezápé Naturals, I am no stranger to their beautiful body products that are formulated with dry, sensitive and problematic skin types in mind. This Ylang Ylang and Lavender Body Oil is the newest member of the Ezápé family and boasts a rich formulation that is non-greasy and a heavenly scent that truly captures the calming, soothing and restful aroma of lavender and Ylang Ylang. If you’d like to find out more about why this beautiful oil makes the perfect Winter skincare treat, you can find my full review of Ezápé Naturals Ylang Ylang and Lavender Body Oil, as well as their other products, here.
Eden Days Body: Rooibos Rush Whipped Body Butter
I am a huge fan of Eden Days Body as they are an amazing brand that offer plastic free, affordable products that are highly effective and great quality. Their body butters are certainly one of my favourite products from their range yet this was my first time trying Rooibos Rush. Rooibos Rush contains eight skin-loving oils and butters including organic unrefined coconut oil, jojoba oil, organic cocoa butter and grapeseed oil, which have been macerated with Organic Redbush and whipped to create the most beautiful soft, smooth butter that melts onto the skin. The rich formulation also contains a stunning essential oil blend of patchouli, eucalyptus, grapefruit and sweet orange to give the body butter a lovely sweet, fruity aroma that has a slight warmth to it, yet is perfectly balanced to let the natural scent of the sustainably sourced ingredients shine through. Eden Days Body is one of the few natural brands I’ve discovered that let essential oils and natural oils and butters work in harmony together, allowing the aroma of the natural ingredients to come through without the essential oils masking them. Rooibos Rush left my skin feeling nourished and deeply moisturised without feeling heavy or greasy. The formulation is so concentrated that a little goes a long way, making it even better value for money than I first anticipated. I thought I had found my favourite Eden Days Body butter in Jiggle Wiggle, yet my experience with Rooibos Rush has certainly made it a contender for the top spot.
Friends of Gaia (Frog): Spring Green Handmade Soap and Sisal Soap Pouch
I love when I discover a new brand within my beauty box deliveries and Friends of Gaia is certainly no exception – as my experience using their handmade soap and sisal soap pouch makes them a brand to explore in the not so distant future.
The Spring Green Handmade Soap is a pleasure to use with a stunning floral aroma of lavender and geranium that certainly leaves your skin smelling beautiful and your senses well and truly relaxed. The green clay, olive oil, shea butter, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, castor oil and coconut oil base provides gentle yet highly effective cleansing power, creating a beautiful lather which doesn’t cause any dryness or tightening of the skin but instead leaves it feeling soft, smooth and intensely nourished.
I’ve been wanting to try a sisal soap pouch for a while now so I was thrilled to see one feature in October’s box. I have to say that the fully biodegradable sisal soap pouch is much softer than I anticipated yet still exfoliates the skin beautifully while also creating a rich and creamy lather from your soap bar.
I actually used this in conjunction with the Spring Green Soap from this months box as it is the perfect shower companion as it can be hung up to thoroughly dry out before next use. I found that it truly enhanced the performance of the soap as not only did it make the bar lather more than it did on its own but it has also made the soap bar last much longer than usual as it allows you to use every last piece (I thankfully still have a good amount of the beautiful soap – and am thrilled that the Sisal Soap Pouch will improve the longevity of Spring Green and all my other favourite soaps). Friends of Gaia have certainly impressed me with their performance of their gorgeous handmade soap and I cannot wait to try more of their products very soon.
Last month’s Bedtime Bliss Box was a true celebration of beautiful natural beauty products that have a calming quality that is always a welcome addition to soothe the senses and get a good nights sleep. The selection of products never fail to impress and the amazingly good value for money each month makes The Natural Beauty Box the best monthly subscription box around.
