|Gifted| NK Naturals is one of those brands that go beyond a skincare company, offering a complete experience with each product that celebrates the very best seasonal ingredients have to offer.

I tried the Spring collection earlier this year and fell in love with each product that gave amazing results when used over a long period of time. I’ve been lucky enough to try the Summer collection over the past few months and yet again, have been blown away by the stunning formulations that really enhanced my beauty routine throughout the warmer weather.

The Summer collection is completely different from the Spring collection, moving away from the floral and herby aromas to a more fresh, sweet and fruity scent that captures the very best of Summer. It is not just the scent that is reminiscent of the season, but also the natural colours of the products themselves. The skincare within the collection is vibrant and bright, harnessing the goodness of ingredients to bring a little bit of sunshine to brighten up your skincare routine.

Each item is formulated to help eradicate the common skin issues associated with the warmer weather, from the effects that sunshine and humidity has on the skin to the irritations caused by allergies and heat-related conditions. This particular collection celebrates ingredients such as seabuckthorn berries, vanilla, red raspberry, neroli, spikenard and frangipani to not only give the collection its stunning scent but also offer anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, as well as being rich in antioxidants and photosterosis to help fight free radicals and retain moisture and hydration levels in the skin.

As I was trying the whole collection, not only did my order arrive with the usual ingredient list printed on parchment but it also came in this gorgeous branded white drawstring bag. NK Naturals are by far the most beautifully packaged orders i’ve ever received and I couldn’t wait to explore each of the products to see how they would perform over the Summer months…

Summer: Deep Steam Salt Infusion

I absolutely loved the Deep Steam Salt Infusion in the Spring collection and I expected the Summer version to be a similar experience yet I couldn’t be more wrong.

The Deep Steam is designed to be a great addition to your bedtime routine once a week to promote self-care through halotherapy, or as part of mediation breathing techniques. The Spring version was perfect for this as the pine and lavender aromas was a great bedtime addition yet I personally find the Summer version is great for daytime use, with the dried rose petals, seabuckthorn berries and vanilla offering a refreshing and reviving scent which was a welcome breath of fresh air for the senses. I found the daytime use easier to integrate into my self-care routine several times a week, as the warm weather wasn’t the best conditions for using this during my bedtime routine, and the use of Atlantic sea salt and Himalayan salt was incredibly useful in banishing pollen and other allergens to help relieve my hay fever symptoms.

I also felt that through eradicating allergens, my skin also reaped the benefits as it helped to ease my skin irritations by opening my pores and allowing my skincare to work its magic. Overall, this was a lovely addition to my routine and one that I will certainly enjoy using for a few more weeks until the Summer allergy season is well and truly over.

Summer: Concentrated Cleansing Balm

I do love a cleansing balm within my routine and NK Naturals Summer Concentrated Cleansing Balm is certainly no exception. The cleansing balm has the most beautifully intense fruity aroma that isn’t sickly sweet due to the woody and slightly earthy cedarwood aroma that linger in the background.

The texture is absolutely stunning, with a silky smooth consistency, thanks to the addition of locally sourced beeswax, that allows you to really massage a small amount of cleansing balm into the skin to remove all traces of make-up, SPF and daily grime. Yet the Summer Concentrated Cleansing Balm goes beyond a simple cleansing product as the balm also provides gentle hydration to blemished and sun damaged skin while also promoting regenerating and repairing qualities for all round skin health.

My skin was left feeling intensely nourished after use with a clean and fresh complexion that looked more radiant in it’s appearance. This was a winner for me and one that I would certainly repurchase again and again.

Summer: Copper Distilled Botanical Mist

Is a facial skincare routine complete without the addition of a mist? Not in my routine, and this one from NK Naturals exceeded my expectations and is unlike any other mist I have in my collection. The mist is a combination of bitter orange and cedarwood hydrosol that help to calm the skin, prevent breakouts and repel insects during the warmer weather, while the additional essential oil blend of neroli, spikenard and grapefruit can boost mood, soothe irritation and provide a protective covering for minor capillary problems.

The mist is refreshing and certainly uplifting thanks to the beautiful ingredients and it really helped with the irritation i’ve been experiencing from allergies. It was lovely to just spritz on the face and body during the day to help revive my skin and boost hydration but was a lovely mist to help tone the skin after cleansing too.

I have personally never used bitter orange or cedarwood hydrosols within my skincare routine yet NK Naturals Summer Botanical Mist has certainly left me wanting to include them more within my daily routine. The mist is absolute perfection and just like the cleansing balm, is certainly one i’d purchase in the future when my skin is in need of some TLC.

Summer: Nutrient Rich Facial Oil

Facial Oils are such an integral part to my skincare routine and NK Naturals certainly gave my dry skin the moisture it needed throughout the warmer weather while also boosting its overall appearance. I personally love the rollerball applicator the brand use for their facial oil formulations as it not only promotes facial massage to boost circulation and lymphatic drainage but also means that it is travel-friendly and easy to use on the go. The Summer Facial oil is one of the most vibrant facial oils i’ve used and boasts the same beautiful fresh, fruity and slightly earthy scent of the whole summer range.

The oil itself is formulated with non-comedogenic sesame seed oil, red raspberry seed oil and sea buckthorn oil to repair and regenerate the skin in humid conditions, helping to absorb UV damage and retain moisture during the warmer weather. The oil is lightweight despite it’s deeply nourishing properties and leaves behind a lovely, dewy appearance to the skin that gives a fresh and healthy glow. A little oil spreads across the skin with ease and even though it is designed to be used at night, it really kept my very dry-skin feeling well-moisturised throughout the daytime as well as overnight.

What I really liked is that the scent lingered on my skin for several hours after use, so it give my senses a treat too. My skin never looked oily or greasy throughout the heatwave and I didn’t experience any breakouts at all so I feel it really delivered on all of its promises. Despite having a real soft spot for the Spring version of the nutrient facial oil, the Summer version certainly performed just as well. It is a great way to try the facial oils NK Naturals have to offer and has been a gorgeous treat for my skin throughout the Summer months.

Summer: Daily Protection Moisturiser

Last and by no means least is the Daily Protection Moisturiser from the Summer collection. Now this was the only product from the Spring collection that I didn’t try, so I was very excited for my first NK Naturals Moisturiser experience.

Where NK Naturals Summer Daily Protection Moisturiser varies from other daily moisturisers i’ve tried is that it is a full spectrum facial SPF as well as a nourishing moisturiser. It contains titanium dioxide, a non nano mineral sunscreen that is coral-safe and protects from both UVA and UVB rays. Now I utilise a SPF in my facial skincare routine everyday yet due to my dry skin type, I still have to layer my products and use a separate moisturiser between my facial oil and SPF to prevent my skin from drying out throughout the day. I expected the same results from this, yet I was pleasantly surprised when my skin didn’t start flaking or reacting to the sunscreen element.

The Daily Protection Moisturiser has a lovely silky texture that melts into the skin with ease. It doesn’t leave a white cast on the skin, despite offering broad spectrum sun protection, and left my skin feeling soft after application with absolutely no greasiness or oily residue. It wears well throughout the day, with no dry patches forming but it does work best with a facial oil underneath just to give skin the additional nourishment the skin needs, especially with the constant weather changes we’ve been experiencing recently. If you’re looking for an environmentally safe facial SPF then I highly recommend trying NK Naturals Summer Daily Protection Moisturiser as for me, it has been a complete game changer when it comes to a facial moisturiser with sunscreen.

NK Naturals: Summer Daily Protection Moisturiser – £30.00/60ml

To say i’ve been blown away by the incredible results and performance of NK Naturals Summer range is an understatement, as the brand have yet again wowed me with a seasonal selection of skincare treats that really update your beauty routine for the better. The products are a true celebration of the best seasonal ingredients that make the changes to our routines in line with the changes our skin goes through at different times of the year. NK Naturals are very different from any other brand i’ve used in the past and their attention to detail and high quality products continue to impress. If you’re going to try one brand this year, then I highly recommend you give NK Naturals a try as i’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
