Cleansing is the foundation of a great skincare routine which not only removes make-up and SPF but also eradicates daily dirt and impurities from the skin for a brighter and more balanced complexion.

The process of double cleansing is a simple concept, utilising an oil or balm in the evening to remove any make-up and SPF and then following with a lighter cleansing product to ensure the skin is free from any daily grime. If you’re looking to upgrade your double cleanse routine, or maybe start to introduce it to your evening skincare regime, then Blue Labelle’s Double Cleanse Kit is the perfect set for you – and would also make a great gift this Christmas for that someone special in your life.

The Double Cleanse Kit is not a one-size-fits all gifting/purchase option as Blue Labelle have made the set completely customisable to ensure you get the best cleansing experience. The set is available in both a trial size and full-size version, has the option to add two flannels and can also be personalised for dry and sensitive skin or oily to combination. The kit includes a Cleansing Oil and award-winning Glow Powder Cleanser all delivered with a gorgeous, colourful paper gift bag with tissue paper (colours in rotation).

In my Natural Christmas Gift Guide this year, I featured the full-sized set with two organic flannels along with the dry and sensitive cleansing oil to suit my skin type. The Double Cleanse Kit gives you everything you need to get started and I certainly couldn’t wait to try these products out for the very first time…

Blue Labelle: Chamomile & Avocado Cleansing Oil

I do love a cleansing oil in my skincare routine so I couldn’t wait to try the Chamomile & Avocado Cleansing Oil from Blue Labelle to see if it lived up to my high expectations. This cleansing oil is formulated with dry and sensitive skin types in mind, yet has a much lighter texture than I first anticipated. The lightweight texture moves across the skin with ease, breaking down all traces of make-up and SPF in it’s wake and nourishing the skin as it goes.

It wipes away easily with a warm, damp cloth and I didn’t experience any irritation or stinging in my eyes which is always a positive! The cleansing oil itself has a beautiful floral scent that is comforting, making it great for use your evening/bedtime routine as it helps to promote a thoroughly calming experience.

The cleansing oil contains some lovely ingredients such as sweet almond oil, avocado oil, jojoba, chamomile CO2 extract and Amaranth to not only cleanse the skin but also keep it in tip top condition. I’m excited to keep using this in my routine into the new year, so expect a full review coming soon.

Blue Labelle: Glow Powder Cleanser

I am a huge fan of multipurpose products as was very excited to try the 3-in-1 exfoliating cleanser and mask – especially as I had heard so many amazing things online!

Glow Powder Cleanser contains some beautiful ingredients including coconut milk powder, pineapple enzyme, Morroccan lava clay, Vitamin C and PHA, creating a formulation that is gentle enough to use on a regular basis while still giving amazing results. The first way Glow Powder Cleanser can be used is as a light foaming cleanser as part of your second cleanse, with just a spoon of powder in the hand, activated with water, to create a gentle lather that will lightly cleanse the skin and leave it feeling clean, fresh and soft after use without any dryness at all.

The second way of using this is as a quick 5-minute mask, which is plenty of time for Glow Powder Cleanser to works it’s magic. The soft, finely milled powder mixes to a paste with ease and applies to the skin nicely, holding well and not drying out too much. It rinses away from the skin without any difficulty, with a damp cloth removing all traces of it on the skin. My face was left feeling incredibly smooth and looking brighter in it’s appearance – even after one use.

The exfoliating element is where this Glow Powder Cleanser really comes into it’s own, as both application methods leave the skin flake free and the complexion positively glowing. A full review will be coming soon but from my experience so far, I believe this will remain in my skincare collection for the long haul.
