|Gifted| Raven Botanicals were one of my favourite brand discoveries of 2020, with a range of products that delight with every use, going beyond simple skincare to provide a rounded experience like no other. Their latest offering is certainly no exception, with a luxurious serum that is truly magical in its performance…
Raven Botanicals Spellbind CBD Bakuchiol Serum is a potent elixir of beautiful ingredients to combat signs of aging, as well deeply nourishing, renewing and promoting a healthier, brighter complexion. Spellbind harnesses the best nature has to offer with ingredients that stimulate collagen production, calm irritation, reduce breakouts and are naturally high in antioxidants including:
- 1% Bakuchiol,
- 50mg CBD,
- Acai Berries,
- Prickly Pear Seed Oil,
- Bitter Orange,
- Vitamin E,
- Sunflower Seed Oil.
This blend of oils makes Spellbind incredibly nourishing on the skin yet remaining lightweight and absorbing with ease. I personally love using Bakuchiol in my skincare routine as it is a great alternative to Retinol/Vitamin A, without the worry that you may experience irritation or sensitivity. It is a great addition to your beauty routine if you’re looking to help soften those fine lines and wrinkles, improve the texture of your skin and help reduce any hyper-pigmentation – basically, it’s a great all-rounder. CBD is also a wonderful element within Spellbind due to its high anti-inflammatory properties, so not only will it help reduce redness and any breakouts you might have but it will also reduce further breakouts when used long term.
It is not only the texture and the incredible ingredients that made me fall in love with Spellbind but the scent is pretty great too. It has a lovely, light lavender aroma with a zesty freshness from the sweet orange lingering in the background, a scent which starts to become a little warmer/earthier as it gradually fades away. The scent really enhances the whole skincare experience and actually feels incredibly luxurious within your routine.
Now Spellbind may be small in it’s bottle size but it sure is mighty, with the potent ingredients working their magic with only a few drops on each application. The texture allows it spread across the face with ease and the lightweight texture absorbs easily and sits beautifully under other products, integrating into your existing routine without any issue (just don’t forget the sunscreen when using Bakuchiol). This 10ml size lasted me a good month – 6 weeks and really boosting my beauty ritual for the better. I started using this last year when my skin was feeling very dry, was experiencing some areas of redness on my cheeks and generally looked dull and tired in it’s appearance. After around 3 days of use, my skin was a lot calmer and stopped feeling as sensitive to the cold weather and central heating as it had done the previous week. After around 10 days, my skin looked brighter in its appearance and just felt happier. The effects were long lasting and were definitely noticeable even after just a month to 6 weeks of use.
It is safe to say that Spellbind has left a lasting impression and has added to my existing love of the Raven Botanicals brand. This chic and stylish bottle delivers on each promise and works as an excellent booster to your skincare routine. I will certainly be investing in this in the not-so-distant future as I would love explore the effects on my skin after a much longer period of time. If you are looking to explore Bakuchiol and/or CBD for the first time, or maybe discover a new product, then I highly recommend you try this beautiful serum from Raven Botanicals – you won’t be disappointed.
