|Gifted| I am a huge fan of multipurpose products, not only to make my beauty routine a little more eco-friendly but also make it as time efficient as possible. So when one of my favourite brands launched their new hair, hand and body bars, I was exciting to say the least…
I’ve been a fan of No Secrets Beauty for some time now, loving a variety everything from body jelly and shower creams to body butters and bath jellies. The brand showcase the very best of luxury beauty, with plant-based products that never fail to bring a spa-like experience into your home – something which has been greatly appreciated during the past year.
When Lorna reached out and asked if i’d like to try the Solo Bar collection, I was delighted. Their new Solo Bars are an all-in-one hair, hand and body bar that is completely plastic-free and comes in four signature fragrances to suit every mood – from uplifting to relaxing – and everything in between:
“One: A fresh and uplifting blend of bergamot, petitigrain, eucalyptus, juniper and lavender.
Four: A calm and sensual blend of geranium, neroli, ylang ylang, patchouli and lavender.
Nine: A happy and joyful blend of lime, bergamot, grapefruit, lemon and orange.
Eleven: A seductive and soothing blend of amyris, cypress, rose and jasmin.“
As well as being plastic-free, the Solo Bars are also free from palm oil, sulphates and parabens, and like the rest of the No Secrets Beauty range, are also 100% natural, vegan and cruelty free.
Each Solo Bar performs incredibly well in all areas, delivering on its promises to cleanse and nourish the hair, hands and body while remaining completely soap free. The bars create the most beautiful lather in an instant – almost immediately when they come into contact with wet hands – which is not something that happens very often when you live in a hard water area! My skin was left feeling clean and soft, without any dryness at all, even on some healing eczema patches. The scent lingers on the skin, making the pampering experience last even longer after use, treating the senses as well as the skin.
The Solo Bar may have performed incredibly well as a hand and body cleanser but where it delivered the best results for me was as a shampoo bar. The small but mighty Solo Bar creates such an intense lather, more so than any liquid shampoo i’ve used in the past, and rinses from the hair with ease (without any need for an additional acidic rinse). My hair was literally squeaky clean in an instant and when dry, my tresses were bouncy, full of life and had a lovely shine without looking or feeling greasy. The bar made my hair feel so clean and fresh that it still looked as good the following day, an incredible achievement for someone with naturally oily roots! What I loved is that the Solo Bars are balancing, moisturising dry ends without leaving them heavy and deeply cleansing the hair without leaving it dry. It certainly left my hair and scalp in great condition, results that were mirrored in my skin too.
I love the fact that one product can do it all at an affordable price, not only making a great addition to your own shower routine but looking stylish enough to make a great ethical gift too. If you asked me to chose a favourite, I really couldn’t. Each blend is absolutely stunning, a selection of scents that need to be expereinced first hand to appreciate just how beautiful they are. Solo Bars have proven yet again that No Secrets Beauty seamlessly marry natural ingredients with a little bit of luxury to give an experience like no other, and one that I will certainly be enjoying again in the not-so-distant future.
