After last month’s amazing Lovelula box, I was excited to see what delights featured this month and I certainly wasn’t disappointed by the amazing selection of great brands and full sized products to try out…

Urban Veda – Radiance Hydrating Toner

Urban Veda Hydrating Toners are my favourite toners and have been for some time. I usually use the soothing or reviving range, but was intrigued to try something new. The radiance formula contains a blend of turmeric, papaya and aloe vera to soothe, heal and reduce blemishes to leave dull complexions looking and feeling clean, fresh and beautifully clear. It is also packed full of antioxidants to protect the skin against free radicals and aims to balance the ph level of your skin. I wasn’t expecting this toner to smell as nice as it does, as I find that turmeric can be quite overpowering in beauty products, yet this is light, fresh and uplifting. Obviously, as I’ve only been using this for a few weeks, I can’t comment of the long term effects however, this definitely suits my skin as my face is soft, smooth and free from irritation or break outs. If you’re looking for a toner designed for dry, dull, dehydrated skin, or suffer from hyperpigmentation, this might just be the range for you.

Ooh! Oils Of Heaven – Organic Avocado Hydrating Face Oil

Oils of Heaven are another brand I’ve used in the past and I love the products I’ve tried so far. To get a full sized bottle of their new avocado oil excited me, as we all know how the fatty acids in avocados works wonders for the skin. I personally love this as an overnight oil, as it doesn’t absorb as quickly as other cold pressed oils, and it does leave skin feeling nourished and hydrated in the morning. However, I haven’t been able to use it as much as I’d like to as unfortunately, I really don’t like the scent. It’s so pungent and doesn’t dissipate until it’s fully absorbed, which takes quite a while.  I even resorted to placing some scented balm around my nose to eradicate the smell (Balm Balm’s Tea Tree balm if you were wondering!), which did improve the experience slightly but it’s just a shame that such a great product doesn’t have a more pleasant scent.

Pure and Light Organic Skincare – Essential Face Cream

20180225_133106I’m always on the lookout for a good moisturiser and was excited to try this one from Pure and Light, a brand which is completely new to me. Designed for all skin types, it’s rich in antioxidants, flavonoids and vitamins A, B, C and E which regenerates skin damage, calms irritation and actively works to improve fine lines, wrinkles and moisture retention. The face cream itself has a lovely light texture which absorbs beautifully into the skin. It has a fresh fragrance, predominantly the orange blossom, and is a real treat for the senses. I loved how the cream felt on my skin after application, but unfortunately, the effects didn’t last as long as i’d hoped. For me, my dry skin type requires something slightly richer, especially in the winter, but I will definitely be trying this again in a couple of months as I think it will be ideal as a summer moisturiser for me, but would be a great all rounder for other skin types.

Mádara – Exfoliating Oil-to-Milk Scrub

20180225_133223After my good experience with Mádara in last month’s box, I was really pleased to see a full sized product this month. I love good facial exfoliators, especially this time of year when skin looks dry and a little bit dull. This scrub isn’t harsh at all and actually uses an oil-to-milk formula to cleanse the skin of dirt and impurities while the natural microbeads buff away dead skin cells and relieve clogged pores. What I love most about this is that unlike many other facial exfoliators, this doesn’t strip the skin of moisture and I didn’t experience any tightness at all – I was just let with gorgeously soft and supple skin! This is definitely a winter saviour and i’ll certainly be repurchasing in the future.

February’s LoveLula box contained some beautiful products which performed really well. I absolutely loved the Urban Veda toner and Mádara‘s exfoliator as I felt they were perfect for my skin type and delivered on their promises. I can’t wait to see what delights March has in store, so don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the big reveal.
