If there is one beauty item that I purchase too often but hardly ever finish, it has to be lip balms. I have a drawer full of them and even though I use them all, I never seem to get past the half-way point. Recently, I have found myself reaching for one product in particular and that’s the fragrance-free lip balm from Myroo Skincare.
If you’ve been following me over the past few months, you’ll know that I’ve fallen in love with Myroo Skincare‘s extensive range of products as well as their brand ethos. Myroo is a British brand who pride themselves on creating products suitable for every skin type, especially those with sensitive or allergy prone skin. All their products come in both a fragranced and fragrance-free option, and are all cruelty free, organic, vegan friendly and free-from allergens such as nuts, dairy and gluten.
As with all Myroo products, the lip balm packaging is beautifully modern and simplistic in frosted glass, and despite the 5g jar, you get a lot more product than you’d expect. The lip balm itself contains coconut oil and jojoba oil, as well as apricot kernel oil and rosemary extract, to soften lips and create a barrier against further damage. It also has antibacterial properties to help with sore, chapped lips and keeps them hydrated throughout the day.
Myroo’s Fragrance-Free Lip Balm is unlike any other lip balm I’ve tried in the past as it doesn’t have the typical balm texture due to it being free-from any form of wax. It has a soft and almost fluffy texture which not only glides over the lips with ease, but can also be buffed into lips so it penetrates and doesn’t just sit on the surface like other lip products. It gives a matt finish, which makes it the perfect lip product to wear under lipstick, and is actually the only one I’ve found which doesn’t interfere with lipstick wear, pigment and overall performance. A small amount goes a very long way, and leaves lips feeling and looking soft and nourished all day.
I’ve been loving this recently and it’s become one of my essential beauty items. It’s incredibly affordable at just £8.00, and it has certainly kept my lips in tip-top condition over the past 6 weeks. The fact that it gives a matt finish makes it a must-have item for lipstick wearers, but also gives you a different look to glossy balms if you prefer to wear it alone. Not only will I be repurchasing this, but i’ll also be trying out the fragranced spearmint version too, as you can’t beat a minty lip product!
