I’d been wanting to try Mallow + White for such a long time and when I saw this travel set on Rare Beauty, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to sample a few products. Luckily, before I could get around to trying these mini products, I received Mallow + White’s Restore Facial Oil in last month’s Natural Beauty Box . I absolutely fell in love with the product, so I had high expectations that the Soothe Collection would be just as good…
Mallow + White was founded by one woman with a determination to create skincare which is simple yet effective, with only a maximum of 6 carefully-selected ingredients utilised in each product. The dedication to great skin not only ends at the minimal ingredients, but also in the production of the products themselves. All items are lovingly hand blended to ensure that each formula is the highest quality, and they also arrive in dark violet glass bottles to protect the natural and organic products from uv damage and ultimately prolong shelf-life.
The Soothe trial/travel collection, formulated especially for sensitive skin types, contains three good-sized Soothe samples. The set comprises of their award-winning cleansing oil, facial oil and face mask, all packaged beautifully and made with love.
Soothe Cleansing Oil
If I had to chose one style of cleanser that I wouldn’t be without, it would have to be cleansing oils. This particular cleansing oil from Mallow + White has a five ingredient formula, containing cucumber seed oil, rice bran oil, grapeseed oil, apricot kernal oil and jojoba oil, is designed to soothe, refine, unclog pores and be gentle on the skin. As well as this, it is also rich in antioxidents, vitamins, minerals and fatty acids to aid skin health and keep it looking at its best. The cleansing oil has a lovely fresh scent, an earhty fragrance which captures the essence of the natural ingredients. It works well on clean skin as well as a full-face of make-up, removing every trace of even the most stubborn make-up and the impurities of daily life, to leave skin feeling smooth and soft with no tightness or dry patches. It is no surprise that my experience with this sample has lead me to add it to my wish list, as it is great quality and does exactly what it is designed to do; all with minimal ingredients and no effort.

Soothe Facial Oil
As I was so impressed by the Restore Facial Oil, I had really high hopes for this one and can safely say that it didn’t diappoint. Soothe Facial Oil has a five ingredient formula and contains the following skin loving ingredients: Jojoba oil, apricot kernal oil, kukui nut oil, and essential oils of chamomile and lavender. Not only is this facial oil designed to be soothing on irritated, sore or burnt skin, but it’s also softening, anti-inflammatory and conditioning too. As with the cleansing oil, the natural ingredients give the oil a distinctive earthy scent, with undertones of essential oils which give an uplifting element to the fragrance. The oil is quite thin and lightweight in texture, which means it absorbs beautifully into the skin, and is surprisingly nourishing, leaving even my dry skin moistured all day. Due to the light yet moisturising formula, it means that it’s perfect for both daytime and overnight use and has made a big difference in calming my skin which tend goes through periods of irritation during hayfever season. I absolutely love the way this oil makes my skin feel and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate in purchasing the full-sized product.

Soothe Gentle Clay Face Mask
The final product in this trial sized collection is this little pot of clay goodness which is unlike any face mask i’ve used before. Usually, face masks are an integral part of a pamper session, as they usually take around 20mins to work their magic. However, this powder mask can be used in two ways and will only ever need a maximum of 5 minutes if used as a traditional face mask. The powder, once mixed with water to a paste, can be used alone as an exfoliating powder, customised with face oils or added to a variety of natural goodies you’ve probably already got in your kitchen cupboards (honey, yogurt, apple cider vinegar etc). The four ingredient powder contains white clay, marshmallow root powder, cornstarch and lavender essential oil to leave skin soothed and softened, while also providing anti-inflammatory properties and promoting new skin cells. These factors, with the addition of other natural ingredients, make this a powerhouse product. The scent of lavender is dominant but not overpowering, and makes this a relaxing treat for the senses as well as the skin. After use, my face felt soft, fresh and looked brighter and less luck-lustre. I’ve used this mask on several occasions, especially as it’s so easy to slot into your skincare routine, and I still have some powder left. The value for money of this versatile product is exceptional, and due to the freshness of the face mask powder every time you use it, the full-sized version will certainly be a great investment.
I have to say that I’ve been blown away by the quality of these Mallow + White products, as it is nice to use such simplistic products which have amazing results. It’s lovely to know exactly what is going onto your skin without having to analyse product labels, as the brand have really taken the guess work out of natural skincare. I can’t wait to try more products, especially as they are incredible value for money, and highly recommend to anyone who is yet to try any Mallow + White products.
