Alexa Sky Botanicals: Skin Metamorphosis 24K Gold Elixir (+ Discount Code)

As many of you know, Alexa Sky Botanicals have been one of my favourite brand discoveries this year ever since I tried their Cactus Fruit Eye Serum and The One Balm, and they continue to wow me with their innovative products that are both effective and ethical.

When Alexandra over at Alexa Sky Botanicals asked me to review their brand new product, I was thrilled to be given the opportunity. I saw their new product release a few days before and was excited to see something which i’d never tried, or even seen, in the past.

The Skin Metamorphosis 24K Skin Elixir is like a shining light in skincare. Not only does it contain a wealth of skin loving ingredients such as cucumber seed oil, rosehip fruit oil, electric daisy extract, marine algae extract and a range of essential oils, but it also, as the name suggests, features tiny flakes of 24k gold which instantly absorb into the skin. The presence of gold isn’t just for decoration, even though it does look pretty luxurious within the amber elixir, but gold can slow down collagen degeneration, boost skin elasticity, help improve circulation, prevent premature aging and promote firmer and more youthful looking skin. The other benefits of the formulation are that the elixir contains all the essential fatty acids and antioxidants the skin needs to be protected and repaired, it improves the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles, rejuvenates the skin and is also anti-bacterial.

When I first applied this to my skin, the lightweight oil absorbed almost instantly, and left behind a dewy complexion which felt incredibly moisturised but didn’t feel like anything else i’ve used before. My skin definitely felt nourished, and my complexion certainly looked brighter and healthier almost immediately, but there was a lack of residue and shine on my skin which was a complete revelation.

I’ve been using this for around 3 weeks now, and have to say that my skin has never looked better. I am in love with the dewy appearance of my skin, the moisture levels i’ve experienced as well as the lemongrass scent which is uplifting and energising. I’ve even noticed the fine lines i’m begining to develop on my forehead are less noticeable than they were before, and I have been able to have more make-up free days because my skin looks so good. What I love most is the way in which it can be utilised in a number of ways, from a super-strength face oil and make-up primer, to a nightly rejuvenating treatment and lip conditioner – it really is a great all-rounder. You can even blend a few drops with your foundation to give a radiant glow to your make-up base and give a dewy finish even with a matte foundation.

Alexa Sky Botanicals have certainly delivered yet again with their Skin Metamorphosis 24K Skin Elixir, as the results i’ve experienced have made such a significant difference to my skin in such a short space of time. The fact that it is 5x more effective that face oils and the immediate effects of a glowing complexion makes this worth every penny, especially as a few drops goes a very long way. This bottle of pure joy certainly lives up to it’s name, as my dull and lack-lustre skin has certainly transformed into a brighter, healthier looking me. I can’t wait to see if the Skin Metamorphosis 24K Skin Elixir can go beyond it’s already perfect performance when used on a long term basis, so remember to keep a look out for a follow-up post coming soon.
