Guiltless Skin: Rosehip Cleanser and Organic Face Oil (Revisited)

As many of you know, Guiltless Skin are among my favourite natural skincare brands as they never fail to impress me with their innovative products which are clean, fantastic quality and highly effective.

Back in early 2018, I tried Guiltless Skin’s Rosehip Cleanser and Face Oil for the first time and was blown away by the gorgeous products which gave amazing results in a short space of time. It was a couple of months later that Guiltless Skin updated their packaging to reduce plastic waste and also improved the formula of their Rosehip Cleanser. I was dubious as to whether the already beautiful cleanser could get any better, so couldn’t wait to try it out for myself…

Guiltless Skin: Rosehip Cleanser

At first sight, this cleaner looks beautiful in the glass packaging which is a huge improvement upon the previous plastic air-pump bottle. With packaging this simplistic, it not only represents the clean ethos of the brand itself but also easily competes with the appearance of higher end skincare products. The pump makes application clean and simple as you only dispense the amount of product you require, keeping product wastage at a minimum. As with Guiltless Skin’s other cleansing products, the Rosehip Cleanser comes with a dual-sided muslin cloth, making the product amazing value for money and your cleansing routine as effortless as can be. The cleanser may seem very similar in name and appearance, yet the formula makes it a very different experience to its predecessor. Where the cleanser used to be odourless, the improved version boasts a subtle scent from the rosehip, camellia and almond oils which makes for a light, fresh and delicately floral fragrance that gradually fades as you begin to rinse from the skin. The texture is much creamer than before, having lost its thin, gel-like texture for a richer, creamy formula which remains lightweight and perfectly balanced, protecting and maintaining the skin’s natural PH. Whereas the original Rosehip Cleansing Gel created a gentle lather on contact with damp skin, the new and improved Rosehip Cleanser emulsifies, which nourishes without leaving any residue after rinsing. My skin certainly felt clean, soft and incredibly smooth immediately after use and since using daily for a number of weeks, I certainly noticed that my skin was clearer and more hydrated. I honestly didn’t think Guiltless Skin’s Rosehip Cleanser could get any better however the results certainly speak for themselves. If you’re looking for an affordable gentle cleanser to integrate into your daily skincare routine, then this may just be the one for you.

Guiltless Skin’s Organic Rosehip Oil is a product I am never without as it is so versatile, has a wealth of skincare benefits and never fails to impress me in its performance. This cold-pressed oil has had a minor packaging change since I first tried it early last year, but still remains the amazing quality oil that it’s always been. You can find my latest full review of it here, along with the incredible results my Mum experienced when she tried it for the first time.  If you’re an oil beginner or merely wish to try something new, then Guiltless Skin’s Organic Rosehip Oil is certainly a great place to start.

The new and improved Rosehip Cleanser has certainly exceeded my expectations and is the perfect partner for the beautifully nourishing Organic Rosehip Oil. Both products are suitable for all skin types and as with all Guiltless Skin products, are cruelty-free, vegan friendly, handmade and contain organic and sustainable ingredients.

Further to the improved formulation of some of their products, Guiltless Skin has recently announced some very exciting changes. The brand have received a makeover on their packaging design, website and branding. The newly designed labels and packaging align themselves with the simple ingredients within the products themselves and reflect upon the transparent, no nonsense approach to skincare which the brand continues to adopt. The cleansing range has also seen some name changes to help identify which products will work best for your skin and fit into your skincare routine.
