There’s nothing better than a good quality face mask to supercharge your beauty routine so you can imagine my delight when Inner Senses recently revealed they were launching not one, but two, new face masks to their skincare collection.

As a brand ambassador, i’ve been lucky enough to test *Quiet Earth this week before the official launch today and have to say that i’ve been very impressed with the results i’ve experienced so far.

Quiet Earth is a combination of high quality clays and stunning botanical ingredients that are designed to soothe and calm the skin while providing the detoxing effect you’d expect from a clay face mask. French Pink Clay, Kaolin and Rhassoul clay work in harmony with the skin-loving ingredients such as rose, calendula, chamomile, cucumber and rosehips to nourish the skin without drying it out.

The powder itself is very finely milled, making the mixing process simple and effective, forming a rich paste with no lumps when mixed with water or hydrosol. The scent is incrediably earthy, embodying the true richness of the extracts which provide the foundations of the mask itself. The mask applies well, sits on the skin comfortably but will need spritzing to prevent it drying out too quickly (especially as the warmer weather approaches).20190406_233738.jpg

I have to say that my first impressions have been very positive, and Quiet Earth has certainly wowed me with its calming properties that transformed my irritated skin after the first application. During the Winter, my skin is very rebellious against the harsh weather and central heating which causes redness, irritation and more dry patches than usual. When I tried the mask for the first time, my face was quite angry with some healing eczema around my nose, dry patches across my forehead and high colour in my cheeks. After I removed the mask, I was amazed to see that my skin had no redness or areas or dryness, and my eczema was less itchy and its appearance greatly improved. My complexion looked somewhat brighter and was incredibly soft to the touch. I was so blown away with the results that I thought I was imagining it, but my Mum even commented on the difference in the appearance of my skin several minutes after application.

Even though my redness did return the following day, the colouring to my cheeks has certainly improved since using Quiet Earth. My skin has been clear, soft and generally happier over the past week. On the first application, I used a simple mix of spring water and powder to determine how the mask performed alone. After using it for a second time on Friday, I am happy to report that the results were even better thanks to the addition of floral hydrosol (rose water) and face oil (Inner Senses’ Rose Precious) which made my masking session a true pampering experience.

To say that i’ve been impressed by Quite Earth is an understatement, as the experience has certainly been out of this world. To have a face mask achieve such amazing results in a short space of time is incredible, and i’m sure the performance will only get better over time. After the results from Quite Earth, i’m now even more excited to try out *Vibrant Earth, a Revitalising Detox Mask featuring clay, botanical extracts and the all important rare micro-algae’s that give the mask a unique formulation that is sure to impress.
