|Gifted| I am a huge fan of soap bars as they are by far the easiest eco-swap i’ve found to date as not only are they great for the environment but they are also kind to the skin and incredible value for money.

I’m always excited to discover a new soap brand and Blanka Soap certainly impressed with their Walking on Sunshine Soap Bar which featured in the Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box a few months ago. Each soap is handmade in small batches using traditional, cold-pressed methods using sustainably sourced ingredients, including raw organic shea butter supplied by Jilima co-op in Ghana, a group of 54 women who get paid a premium price for their high quality products.

The Blanka Soap range is all plastic-free, vegan friendly, palm-oil free and incredibly ethical. Their extensive range of soaps means that there is something for everyone, from gentle and balancing to exfoliating and purifying – and each one looks as good as it sounds! Blanka kindly sent me some additional soaps to try and one that I have been loving recently is their Peace & Quiet Moisturising Soap, a relaxing soap bar with lavender, bergamot and vetiver.

Peace and Quiet Moisturising Soap is formulated with relaxation in mind, with a lovely aroma of floral lavender and earthy vetiver blending beautifully with citrusy bergamot lingering in the background. Even from the box, the scent is stunning yet when used on the skin really showcases the beautiful essential oils that harmonise together to provide a truly relaxing, pampering experience.

It is no surprise that the bar is moisturising in its formulation, with ingredients such as olive oil, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil and shea butter leaving the skin feeling nourished after use without any dryness. The rich and creamy lather feels intensely moisturising on the skin yet despite it’s lovely dense lather, is actually lasting a good amount of time which is surprising yet certainly welcomed. What I love most is that after use is that my skin still smells of the Peace & Quiet bar and I don’t feel the need to immediately moisturise my skin after bathing or showering, which when you have a dry and dehydrated skin type is always a bonus!

Overall, my experience with Blanka Soaps has only been positive, as each bar I try is a real treat for the skin and the senses. I love everything from the stylish, plastic-free packaging to the stunning design of each bar. I am a huge fan of soap bars anyway, yet Blanka Soap has certainly become my go-to when it comes to restocking my soap supply in the future.
