If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll have noticed that The Natural Beauty Box is one of my favourite beauty box subscriptions. The monthly service is amazingly good value for money, with each box boasting a wealth of incredible products that are all cruelty free and vegan friendly. Not only does The Natural Beauty Box allow you to keep your beauty stash well stocked, but also enables you to make new brand discoveries and explore a wide range of products for a fragment of the cost…

August’s box had a Serenity theme which was full of great products to not only bring a calming quality to your daily routine but also help make the transition from Summer to Autumn as efficient as possible. The box value for August was just under £56.00, so really was incredibly good value for money. The box contained a mix of brands that I was already familiar with and some new to me brands that I was excited to try out. There was a good mix of product types and sizes, which made this box one of my favourites of the year so far.

Grums: Hydra Calm Face Cream – £28

As someone with a dry skin type and areas of sensitivity, a nourishing and soothing face cream certainly fit the bill, especially as we head into the Autumn months and start to battle cooler weather and the central heating. I have been a fan of Grums products in the past so had high expectations about their Hydra Calm Face Cream.

It is safe to say that Grums didn’t disappoint with yet another product (their coffee hand scrub is one of my favourites!) that has become a staple within my routine. The texture was surprising yet welcomed, as it is much firmer than I was anticipating, even after i’d opened the jar. The consistency is rich, dense yet applies to the skin beautifully and absorbs incredibly well to leave skin intensely moisturised, soothed and soft after use. Where Grums Hydra Calm Face Cream differs from several others i’ve used is that it also has an incredibly hydrating formulation too, incorporating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin, that help to bind and maintain moisture levels in the skin. To find a face cream that works to both moisturise and hydrate the skin – all with a fragrance free formulation – is not easy task, yet Grums have certainly achieved it with this beautiful face cream that will be in my routine for the long haul.

Organii Everyday Organics: Argan Shower Gel – £5.95

If you’re looking for a high quality natural beauty brand that is incredibly affordable, Organii should always be your first stop, with a range of beautiful products that don’t cost the Earth. I have tried one of Organii’s Shower Gels in a previous edit of The Natural Beauty Box and although I wasn’t a fan of the scent that featured, the formulation was fantastic.

It is safe to say that my experience on this occasion has been even better, with a lovely nourishing shower gel with Argan oil as the star of the show. The shower gel has a glorious, rich and creamy lather that doesn’t dry the skin or leave it feeling tight in any way. It is nourishing, moisturising and a real pampering experience, with a lovely light scent that is subtle and not overpowering in any way. I have found myself reaching for this time and time again, and although i’m usually a soap bar kind of girl, I have to say that this is one of the best shower gels i’ve used.

Skin & Tonic: Be Soothed Rose Mist – £7.00

Rose Water is one of my favourites within my skincare routine so I was excited to see Skin & Tonic’s Be Soothed Rose Mist feature in August’s box.

Rose Water on its own is a staple within my routine, whether it be to mist my skin after cleansing or hydrate my skin throughout the day as it is a multi-tasker that is perfect for all skin types. Skin & Tonic’s Be Soothed Rose Mist elevates the humble rose water to new heights, with the addition of glycerin, aloe vera powder, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate and aloe vera water to give it extra soothing properties and a boost of hydration. It made my skin feel refreshed and calm after use, and the additional hydrating ingredients have really benefited my skin during the changeable weather we’ve been experiencing recently. I would certainly consider purchasing this when my current supplies run out and will be exploring more products from their range of natural products in the not-so-distant future.

Bloom & Blossom: All Night Long Calming Sleep Spray – £10.00

We all know the importance of sleep but with our busy daily lives leaving us feeling stressed, anxious or just restless on occasion, sleep isn’t always the easiest thing to come by when it’s time to switch off.

Thankfully Bloom & Blossom have the answer, with a calming sleep spray that combines a blend of essential oils and flower waters to calm and relax the mind so you can drift off into a restful sleep. The spray has a nice aroma, not what I was initially expecting (I was anticipating lavender), but pleasant none the less. I like to spray this on my bedding before I settle down and it certainly helps to clear my mind and promote relaxation before drifting off into a more peaceful sleep than usual. I actually like the fact that it isn’t your typical lavender pillow mist, and believe that it would also be useful when meditating or to calm your mind in any stressful situations throughout the day.

Olee Cosmetics: Zen Bath Tea – £5

I am always on the look out for great bath products and after using Olee Cosmetics’ Zen Bath Tea, it’s safe to say that i’ve discovered a new favourite bathtime treat.

The zen bath tea of formulated with sensitive skin in mind, combining epsom salts, oats, calandula, chamomile and vitamin e with lavender buds and an essential oil blend to soothe both the skin and senses alike. The scent is is perfectly balanced, with an aroma that is subtle yet still noticeable as you soak in the tub. It certainly left my skin feeling soft, nourished and calm after use and relaxed my mind as well as my body. These are an affordable treat that really elevated my bath time to a whole new level and I cannot wait to explore the bath tea range further in the not-so-distant future.

It is safe to say that the Serenity box was full of cruelty free delights, featuring some incredible brands and products that have really upgraded my beauty routine for the better. I don’t think I could even a chose a favourite item from the Serenity box as they have all integrated into my routine so well and will be in my daily rituals for the foreseeable future.
