|AD – Gifted| When it comes to Autumn and Winter skincare staples, oils are at the top of the list of nourishing products to help combat dry patches and dull complexions caused by the central heating and harsher weather.

If you’ve seen my Natural Beauty Gift Guide this year, you may have spotted two body oils that are the perfect companion for this time of year, with beautifully scented formulations that are guaranteed to give your skin the TLC it so rightly deserves.

TEWC Skincare are a brand who are dedicated to great skin, not only formulating products to cater for a variety of skin concerns but also running a successful beauty therapy studio and holistic therapy academy in Northamptonshire. Their range of handmade products allows you to use a range of professional-quality skincare products in the comfort of your own home for a spa-like experience that will certainly elevate your self-care routine for the better.

Their capsule collection of body oils are great for both hydrating and moisturising the skin, with a formulation that can be used alone or teamed up with a coordinating body butter or melt for additional nourishing benefits. The packaging is sleek and stylish, with a simplistic design that matches the no-nonsense approach the brand have to skincare, and designed with all ages and genders in mind.

TEWC Skincare: Lemon & Geranium Body Oil – £12.50/90g

As all TEWC Skincare products, the Lemon & Geranium Body Oil has a beautiful essential oil blend that is certain to treat both the skin and senses alike. What I love in particular about the Lemon & Geranium Body Oil is that the initial scent is not all what you expect, with ylang ylang essential oil taking centre stage and the freshness of lemon and light floral notes of geranium lingering in the background, always present yet not overpowering. The longer you wear the body oil, the more vibrant the eponymous lemon and geranium scent begins to come through, evolving on the skin and remaining their for several hours after use.

It is not just the scent that makes this a great addition to your body care routine as the texture and performance of the oil is equally as special. You’d be mistaken if you thought this was a heavy body oil as despite the nourishing ingredients it is incredibly lightweight on the skin and absorbs beautifully for soft skin that doesn’t feel greasy in any way. I love how the lightweight oil spreads across the skin with ease with a little going an incredibly long way. If you love a nourishing body oil and love an evolving scent on the skin then this is certainly the body oil for you.

TEWC Skincare: Lavender & Orange Body Oil – £12.50/90g

With the same nourishing yet lightweight blend as its Lemon & Geranium sibling, TEWC Skincare’s Body Oil with Sweet Almond Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil and natural Vitamin E base is certain to keep skin looking and feeling at its best without leaving behind any greasy residue.

If floral or citrus aromas are your personal favourite then the Lavender & Orange blend is the perfect product for you. The scent when applied to the skin has a zesty hit of sweet orange that is perfectly balanced with delicate lavender sitting in the background, eventually working its way to the forefront a short time after use. I personally love the way that TEWC Skincare’s essential oil blends evolve as they sit on skin, gradually altering as they begin to wear off so one can never truly get board of a particular aroma. I love to incorporate this body oil into my post-shower routine, applying to my skin whilst damp for that extra absorption. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturised while also giving it a subtle sheen that makes my skin look healthy and intensely nourished.

If you’re looking for an affordable body oil that delivers on it’s promises then TEWC Skincare’s range is certainly for you. Their products gives skin that boost of moisture that it so desperately needs during the cooler months, while the scent gives an uplifting yet somewhat calming effect on the mind. I wish that more brands would create coordinating products – especially when it comes to bodycare – as it helps to elevate your skincare routine for the better. If I had to choose my favourite, I would have to say that the Lavender & Sweet Orange Body Oil has the edge, with a zesty aroma and hint of lavender that is truly a match made in heaven.
