When the Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box went to a bi-monthly box last Summer, I was sad that my box wouldn’t be arriving at my door each month with it’s array of natural beauty treats. My disappointment was certainly short lived, as the bi-monthly plan has definitely helped ease my overflowing beauty stash and the quality of the boxes themselves just keep getting better and better…

January’s ‘Nourish’ box was a lovely box that helped ease the Winter blues in the month that seems to drag on and on. The box included everything you’d need to start the New Year with intense nourishment to keep Winter skin well and truly at bay.

The box featured some brands I was familiar with and some that I couldn’t wait to explore further. It had a great mix of product sizes from 15ml to 200ml – and everything in between – so it was a great box to try five natural skincare items that would hopefully lead to some amazing brand discoveries.

Nourish: Antioxidant Multitasking Super Balm

I’ve previously tried some Nourish products in the past and have been impressed with both the quality and product performance. As a complete balm-a-holic, and lover of multipurpose skincare, the brand’s Antioxidant Multitasking Super Balm sounded like the product for me. The super concentrated balm can be used as a cleanser, mask and all-over nourishing balm and would make the perfect travel companion thanks to it’s effectiveness and all-round capabilities.

The balm has the most beautiful texture as it’s silky smooth and has a good slip, so a little really does go a very long way.  It has a lovely light floral scent, which allows the natural aroma of the plant oils and extracts to shine through which is something I particularly enjoy. On this occasion, i’ve utilised this in my skincare routine as a cleansing balm and as a nourishing treat on dry patches and chapped lips.

As a cleanser, it has the perfect texture to eradicate all traces of SPF and impurities and left my skin feeling clean yet intensely moisturised after use. I also found that it wiped away easily from my skin with a warm, damp cloth and didn’t leave any residue.

As a moisturising balm, I felt like it performed well in the daytime, as it isn’t too thick or greasy on the skin and kept my face flake free, even on frosty morning dog walks. As a lip balm, it gave a lovely shine to my lips and had good staying power considering it’s soft texture. This is certainly a repurchase product for me as I cannot wait to explore the product further to see just how good it truly is.

100 Acres Apothecary: Rose and Lavender Bubble Bath

Nothing says ‘pampering bath time’ quite like a good quality bubble bath and having tried this out previously, I knew I was in for treat. I absolutely love everything about this bubble bath from the stunning packaging to the delicate yet delicious Rose and Lavender fragrance – it encapsulates everything i’m looking for in a bubble bath.

A small amount of product goes a very long way, creating a lot of lovely bubbles which have good staying power. After use, my skin felt soft and smooth, without any dry patches or feelings of tightness, and my senses were well and truly relaxed. If you’re looking for a bubble bath that is kind to the skin and the senses, and delivers great results, then 100 Acres Rose & Lavender Bubble Bath is the perfect treat for you.

Vedani Botanicals: Organic Cleansing Oil

It is discoveries like Verdani Botanicals that remind me why I love my Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box delivery as without it, I might not have found the brand. Verdani Botanicals Cleansing Oil combines 100 plant oils, including Safflower, Apricot Kernal, Sea Buckthorn and Vitamin E, alongside an essential oil blend of Geranium, Mandarin, Lavender and Vetiver, to deeply cleanse and nourish the skin.

The cleansing oil itself has the most beautiful lightweight texture despite it’s intense skin-nourishing properties, with only one pump needed to cleanse the whole face with ease. The scent is perfectly balanced with a lavender-rich aroma, with undertones of Mandarin and Vetiver coming through as you apply to the skin. I must say that i’ve been loving this in my PM routine since my box arrived last month as it calms the mind as well as the skin. My face was left feeling soft and fresh after use and is incredible value for money as a little goes a very long way. I will certainly be exploring the brand further in the future as the performance of their cleansing oil has certainly impressed.

Ovviovita: Rosehip and Sandalwood Cream

I’m always on the lookout for body products formulated with dry skin types in mind so was excited to see this rather generously-sized Replenishing Cream from Ovviovita, another new to me brand in last month’s box. The Rosehip and Sandalwood Cream contains skin loving ingredients such as Neem, Coconut Oil, Sandalwood, Avocado oil, Shea Butter and Rosehip to seal in moisture, repair damaged cells, stimulate new cell growth, promote collagen production and protect the skin from environmental damage. The cream itself is unlike any other i’ve used for dry skin due to its incredibly lightweight texture that adopts more of a lotion feel than a heavy cream.

As the cream is so lightweight it is highly absorbent, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and moisturised without any stickiness or greasy residue. The only negative I personally have the scent which isn’t really to my liking as I can’t quite put my finger on what it actually smells like – but it’s just not for me. However, saying this, my skin has felt lovely and soft after use, without any dryness at all – and i’ve been enjoyed the overall experience. I will be using the rest of this pot, probably on my legs more than the rest of my body, but it certainly delivers on its promise to combat, and replenish, dry skin.

Jorgobe: Hand Cream

I was very excited to see another product from Jorgobe as I was so impressed with the last Jorgobe addition to Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box back in May 2019. The brand’s hand cream combines nourishing ingredients including Coconut, Avocado, Jojoba, Shea Butter and Sugar Beet, alongside Vitamins A & E, to soften, smooth the skin tone, prevent premature aging and provide antioxidant protection – all while keeping hands moisturised for up to 72 hours.

wp-1580470827969.jpg Now hand creams are the bain of my life as I hate the greasy, sticky texture yet hands need some TLC on a daily basis – so finding a hand cream that pleases me is quite the task! Thankfully, Jorgobe’s Hand Cream is one of my favourites to date as it absorbs almost instantly, leaving behind incredibly soft hands with absolutely no residue at all. The scent is stunning, with a luxurious spa-like aroma that adds to the skin-pampering experience, remaining on the skin for several hours after use. The hand cream itself may have a rich texture yet it is one of the lightest creams i’ve used. This one of certainly a keeper and I can’t wait to see how it performs over a longer period of time.

Jorgobe: Hand Cream – £10.00/30ml

To say i’ve been impressed by the first Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box of the year is an understatement as the box contents has certainly left me wanting to try more. It was the perfect box to combat Winter skin, providing beauty treats that nourished the skin from head to toe. I cannot wait for March’s box to see what other delights will feature, but if you’re looking for a bi-monthly beauty box that contains some beautiful products then the Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box will be the one for you.
